FBI arrests hoops star in alleged multimillion-dollar fraud scheme

A former college basketball player allegedly connected to a multimillion-dollar fraud scheme was arrested by the FBI and is awaiting extradition.
Kerr Kriisa, who played six years in the NCAA for four different schools, was nabbed in Lexington, Kentucky, on Friday, Kentucky Sports Radio reported.
The 25-year-old Estonian native is accused of the fraudulent plot during his single year as a senior at West Virginia University in 2023-23.
Kriisa was being extradited from Kentucky to West Virginia ahead of his court hearing scheduled for this week, according to the outlet.
The exact allegations against Kriisa weren’t immediately known as his case is being handled by the federal government.
