Officials with Greenville City Dispatch confirmed that units are responding to a shooting at the Haywood Mall on Saturday afternoon.

The Greenville Police Department confirmed that two victims have been taken to the hospital and that several people have been detained. Officers are working to clear the mall with help from the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office.

No other shots have been fired since officers arrived on the scene, according to police.

Police said that preliminary investigation indicates a dispute turned into a shooting, and it was not random.
