Erika Kirk, CEO of Turning Point USA, was repeatedly heckled during the organization’s Women’s Leadership Summit when an attendee shouted, "Erika Kirk protects pedophiles! Erika Kirk protects pedophiles!" several times during her appearance.
Kirk responded calmly to the disruption, telling the heckler, "It’s important to remember that happiness comes and goes, and I pray that you find it."
The incident highlights growing tensions within parts of the MAGA movement over the handling of issues related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein and accountability for those connected to his crimes.
Some activists and commentators on the right have expressed frustration that President Donald Trump’s administration and prominent conservative organizations have not done enough to pursue additional transparency or justice for Epstein’s victims.
The confrontation also comes during a period of transition for Turning Point USA.
Kirk assumed leadership of the influential conservative youth organization after the assassination of her husband, founder Charlie Kirk, in Utah last fall.
Since taking over as CEO, she has sought to maintain the group’s close ties to the Trump administration and broader conservative movement while navigating internal divisions over priorities and strategy.
While the disruption was brief, it underscored the increasingly visible fractures within segments of the MAGA base, where disagreements over the Epstein case have become a flashpoint despite broad support for Trump and allied conservative organizations.
