The Republican National Committee raised $16.7 million in June, building on a record amount of cash on hand ahead of the midterms, Newsmax has learned, underscoring the GOP's effort to buck historical trends and protect its congressional majorities.
The RNC closed June with $128.5 million in cash on hand — the highest month-end total in its history.
The June figure topped previous records set in May ($125.5 million) and April ($123.9 million), marking three consecutive months of record cash reserves.
"Thanks to President [Donald] Trump and Vice President [JD] Vance, Republicans head into the midterms with the biggest war chest in our history — and we intend to spend as many dollars as possible supporting our candidates," RNC Chair Joe Gruters said in a statement to Newsmax.
Gruters argued Republicans remain "united, disciplined, and on offense," while contending Democrats have been plagued by internal divisions and fundraising struggles in several key races.
The RNC said its growing financial advantage comes as it prepares to devote more resources to Republican candidates following the Supreme Court's ruling in NRSC v. FEC, which lifted limits on coordinated party spending.
The committee said it has carried no debt into the election cycle and intends to expand advertising, voter-contact programs and get-out-the-vote operations.
The committee also touted its nationwide ground game, saying it has deployed 34 state directors and election integrity directors in 17 battleground states to strengthen Republican turnout and ballot security efforts.
Vance, who serves as the first sitting vice president to chair the RNC's finance operation, has helped oversee an aggressive fundraising campaign aimed at expanding both high-dollar donor networks and grassroots contributions, the committee said.
The latest fundraising numbers come as Republican-aligned groups continue to post strong financial results across the board.
Axios reported last week that the Senate Leadership Fund and its nonprofit affiliate, One Nation, raised $140 million during the second quarter and finished June with $238 million in cash on hand, nearly double what they held at the same point in the 2024 cycle.
The group plans to defend GOP-held seats while targeting Democrat incumbents in states including Georgia, Michigan, and New Hampshire.
House Republicans also are reporting robust fundraising.
According to the Washington Examiner last week, Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., raised $19.1 million during the second quarter, bringing his 2026 fundraising total above $53 million, while transferring millions to vulnerable incumbents and Republican challengers as the party seeks to preserve its narrow House majority.
With fewer than four months until Election Day, Republicans say their record fundraising and coordinated campaign strategy position the party to compete aggressively despite the traditional headwinds facing the president's party in midterm elections.
