White House trade adviser Peter Navarro told Newsmax on Monday we must fight back against far-left lawmakers.

"The illegal immigration that has occurred has imported different cultures, different people, a whole lot of folks," Navarro said on "Ed Henry The Big Take."

"We're in a democracy. And when folks with different values and ideas have the power because of the sheer numbers, that's when we get in trouble, and we're getting into trouble big time," he said.

Navarro said fellow Democrats running for office sound like Latin American socialist dictators like Fidel Castro, Hugo Chavez, and Juan Peron.

"They must train these guys in rhetoric," Navarro said.

"It's the perfect way to tap at the resentments of people. And it's just spewing lies and a false ideology that will destroy this country," he said.

Navarro warned democratic socialists like New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani are effective communicators, "in the most perverse kind of way."

"And it's so ahistorical," he said. "It's just a fact. Socialism and communism have never worked. Ever."

"It's just brought tragedy and poverty," Navarro added.

"As soon as more than half of the people of a country get control and push socialism and then take everything from the other half, everything disintegrates because there's no innovation, there's no entrepreneurship, there's no freedom," he said.

"We've got to confront this reality that we're facing that the younger folk in this country are susceptible to these messages.

"They're buying it. My job at the White House is to create good jobs for the American people at good wages," Navarro continued.

Navarro said he wanted to assure the youth of America that there are going to be jobs out of there, "that are going to make you a lot of money and have a lot of dignity associated with them."

"And this whole idea of just free everything," he said. "It's a bit troublesome."
