Sen. Lindsey Graham responded with humor after his image appeared on posters displayed at the funeral of Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, depicting him and other prominent Americans and Israelis with crosshair symbols over their faces.

Graham, who died Saturday night after what was described as a brief and sudden illness, reacted on July 6 in a post on X after photos circulated showing posters featuring him alongside President Donald Trump, conservative commentator Ben Shapiro, political activist Laura Loomer, philanthropist Miriam Adelson and others. Red crosshair symbols were superimposed over each person's face.

According to a translation shared online, accompanying Farsi text on the posters read: "In the end, your heads will be severed."

Rather than expressing concern, Graham joked about the image.

"At least they used a good photo of me. Judge me by my enemies," he wrote on X.

A longtime Iran hawk, Graham was one of the Senate's most outspoken advocates for a tougher U.S. policy toward Tehran, repeatedly calling for stronger military and economic pressure on the regime.

Iranian officials did not publicly comment on the posters, and it was not immediately clear who produced them.
