The National Republican Congressional Committee released an optimistic memo Sunday marking 100 days until Election Day.
GOP operatives believe House Republicans are positioned to grow their majority in November.
The memo said the NRCC holds a $13.7 million cash advantage over the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, calling it the strongest financial position the committee has built at this point in a cycle in 20 years.
The memo pointed to redistricting as another advantage, stating Democrats are defending 23 seats President Donald Trump carried in 2024, while Republicans are defending eight seats former Vice President Kamala Harris carried in the same election, a nearly 3 to 1 imbalance.
According to the memo, the NRCC's offensive target list now stands at 36 Democrat-held seats, including seven added in the past week, with 23 of those seats located in districts Trump won in 2024.
The memo cited NRCC internal polling in five competitive districts, claiming Republican candidates either lead outright or are statistically tied within the margin of error, with the Democrat brand averaging 22.4 points underwater across those races.
On Democrat favorability, the memo cited CNN polling putting the party's favorability at 28%, which it called the lowest mark in three decades, along with Quinnipiac polling showing just 42% of Democrat voters approve of how their party in Congress is handling its job, down from 58% two months earlier.
The memo pointed to recent Democratic Party primary contests in districts including California's 22nd, Colorado's 8th, Maine's 2nd, and Arizona's 1st, stating the outcomes have created friction between House Democrats and the DCCC, their national campaign arm.
NRCC spokesman Mike Marinella said in a statement, "For the next 100 days, House Democrats will spend every day trying to explain away their radical socialist record and opposition to countless common-sense policies Americans overwhelmingly support."
"Republicans have the momentum, the candidates, the resources, and the map to grow our House majority in November, and we're ready to take it across the finish line," he added.
The memo continued, "The next 100 days won't be easy, they'll be a knife fight. Democrats will spend millions trying to claw back the majority."
"But campaigns aren't won through wishful thinking. We've done the work, and it's time to finish the job," it concluded.
Dick Morris, an adviser to President Donald Trump, told Newsmax on Friday that Republicans are positioned to defy midterm history in 2026.
He dismissed an Emerson College survey showing Democrats up 11 points on the generic ballot and pointed instead to a McLaughlin & Associates poll that puts the president's job approval at 49% and the Democrat edge at just 2 points.
Speaking on "Rob Schmitt Tonight," the veteran strategist contrasted the two surveys and waved off the claimed Democrat advantage.
