President Donald Trump underwent evaluations by 22 medical specialists as part of his latest annual physical examination, according to a medical report released by the White House.

The level of scrutiny sets a new benchmark for a presidential health assessment.

The report, dated May 29 and signed by White House physician, Capt. Sean P. Barbabella, stated that Trump underwent a comprehensive examination May 26 at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

The evaluation included a review of diagnostic studies and laboratory testing conducted over the previous year, as well as consultations with 22 specialty providers from multiple academic institutions.

The Washington Post reported that the involvement of 22 specialists marks the largest number of medical experts known to have participated in a single presidential physical examination.

"It is an extraordinary number," said Jonathan Reiner, who served as a cardiologist for Dick Cheney, the late vice president. "What specialties do they represent? Why so many?"

The White House said the involvement of multiple specialists "reflects a comprehensive, multidisciplinary evaluation consistent with best practices for executive-level medical care."

The 79-year-old president was described as being in stable condition based on the portions of the report released by the White House.

According to the report, Trump is 6-foot-3 and weighs 238 pounds. His resting heart rate was measured at 73 beats per minute, while his blood pressure was recorded at 105/71 mmHg. The report listed his blood oxygen saturation at 98% on room air and his temperature at 98.7 degrees Fahrenheit.

"All aspects of the assessment were performed in accordance with U.S. Preventive Services Task Force recommendations," Barbabella wrote. Trump authorized the public release of the findings, the report said.

The document outlined findings from several areas of the examination. An eye evaluation found visual acuity, visual fields and intraocular pressure to be within normal limits, while a dilated eye exam was also reported as normal.

Doctors found no significant abnormalities during examinations of Trump's head, ears, nose, and throat, though the report noted scarring of his right ear consistent with the gunshot wound he sustained during the July 2024 assassination attempt in Butler, Pennsylvania.

His hearing was described as intact, and his teeth were said to be in very good condition.

The report also stated that Trump's thyroid gland and lymph nodes were normal. An ultrasound examination of his carotid arteries showed normal results.

A pulmonary assessment found his lungs clear to auscultation bilaterally. In addition, a computed tomography angiography scan of the chest revealed no abnormalities, according to the report.

The White House did not immediately release additional details from the examination, including laboratory findings or conclusions from the 22 specialists.

Presidential health reports are closely watched because they provide one of the few public windows into the physical condition of the nation's chief executive. Trump, who began his second term in January 2025, is the oldest person to serve as president.
