British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced Monday that he was immediately resigning as Labour Party leader, and will step down as prime minister whenever a replacement is found.
This could be a golden opportunity for Parliament to take back their country after years of failed leadership.
Starmer's successor will be the sixth PM within seven years, and Andy Burnham, another Labour Party MP, will likely replace Starmer as Labour leader and prime minister.
However, this is just replacing Tweedle Dee with Tweedle Dum.
Reform UK Party leader Nigel Farage has a better idea. He's calling for a general election to give voters the chance to determine if the Labour Party should remain in power.
"Ten years ago on the 23rd of June, 2016, we voted for Brexit," Farage said. That was when UK voters approved a referendum to leave the European Union and its failed open border policies. But politicians ignored the voters.
"Much of our political establishment has never accepted the result," Farage continued.
"And even those that reluctantly did . . . refused to implement what voters demanded, namely lower levels of immigration and more freedom."
The people want real change.
Last month the Reform UK Party made a clean sweep in Northern England local elections, in some cases overturning seats that had been held by Labour Party members for decades.
The next UK national general election is scheduled no later than August 15, 2029.
However, an early, "snap" general election for members of Parliament can be scheduled at the discretion of the prime minister:
- The Prime Minister advises the Monarch (King Charles III) to dissolve Parliament.
- The Monarch grants this request (they don't refuse in normal circumstances).
- That's it. There is no requirement for a parliamentary vote.
But that's also not likely to happen, not with the Labour Party in power, especially after the spanking that Farage's Reform UK Party gave the Labour Party last month. But clearly the UK’s open borders have been a failure.
The examples of what this policy has led to are horrifying.
So-called "groomer gangs" of Muslim migrants have roamed the British Isles, targeting young girls to rape, traffic, torture, and murder.
Donna-Louise, a former British detective of 21 years who is now an independent journalist, published a 219-page report of Muslim groomer gangs titled "The Rape Gang Inquiry."
It describes "250,000 Girls. Raped for Being White, and for Not Obeying Allah."
She also released a 20-post thread on X. Here are a few examples.
"A 12-year-old was raped in a graveyard and had a bottle forced inside her until it shattered," Donna-Louise reported. "She took herself to A&E [Accident & Emergency]. The glass was removed. She was discharged. Nobody asked how a child came to have broken glass inside her."
It gets worse: "She told police, more than once, that grown men were having sex with her in cars. She told them she didn't know what 'consent' meant. They recorded that she had consented. They logged her as a prostitute. She was twelve."
The former detective noted a political element in that "Labour councils and MPs were briefed on the gangs as early as 2003, then denied knowledge – because the electoral support of Muslim communities mattered more than the girls."
But don't dare fight back.
Last August a video depicting a brave 14-year-old girl trended on social media.
She showed courage in the face of danger when a migrant approached her and a friend.
She displayed an axe and a kitchen knife and loudly (and profanely) warned him to keep his distance. Right Angle News Network posted the video and reported that police arrested the girl — not the migrant.
RANN reported, "Police have arrested and charged a 14-year-old girl after she was forced to brandish a knife to defend herself and her friend against a migrant who attempted to assault her near St Ann's Lane in Dundee, Scotland."
Then there’s the case of Henry Nowak, an 18-year-old university student who was repeatedly stabbed by a migrant. When police arrived they went straight to Nowak, lying bleeding on the pavement and arrested him for being racist.
Europa-dot-com reported early this month that "Bodycam footage has been released showing Henry Nowak begging for an ambulance before being handcuffed behind his back."
Nowak: "I've been stabbed"
Officer: "I don't think you have mate."
He died from his wounds.
The Babylon Bee, a satirical, humor-driven “news” site with the motto "Fake News You Can Trust," was spot-on in its report of the UK prime minister's resignation. Beneath a photo of Starmer, its headline read, "Prominent Muslim Leader Resigns."
If the prime minister wants to save his country, he should call for a special "snap" election, but he won't. He’s in too deep.
And he'll take our cousins across the pond down with him.
