Last week’s Lifeline newsletter was titled “Abortion Pills Are Gifts to Abusers.” A recent conversation I had with Dr. Ingrid Skop — about the Wild West of the abortion-pill business — followed along the same lines, discussing a recent Charlotte Lozier Institute report.

And so some updates:

From Kentucky this week:

GLASGOW, Ky. (TNND) — A Kentucky man was charged with attempted fetal homicide after investigators said he allegedly replaced his pregnant girlfriend’s prescription medication with an unknown substance, according to authorities.

Kentucky State Police identified the suspect as 26-year-old Abdulah Mohmand, of Bowling Green.

State police said troopers were contacted on Monday around 7:30 a.m. by a woman from Glasgow who reported concerns about the safety of her unborn child after learning her prescription medication had allegedly been switched.

The woman told investigators she believed her boyfriend, Mohmand, replaced the medication with another drug.

Following an investigation, state police said detectives obtained a search warrant for Mohmand’s house. During the search, investigators found medication matching the pills discovered at the woman’s home.

While state police did not release details about the type of medication involved or whether the woman or unborn child suffered any medical complications, FOX 56 reported that police recovered misoprostol, which is a medication commonly used for medical abortions and labor induction.

From Louisiana

CARENCRO, La. (KLFY) – The Carencro Police Department began an investigation in late May, into an alleged Attempted First-Degree Feticide and Domestic Abuse Battery of a Pregnant victim.

Authorities have charged 39-year-old Jamelle Kelly of Carencro in connection with the case.

Detectives learned that Kelly allegedly gave his pregnant daughter medication to abort her pregnancy without her knowledge. The victim was 17-years-of-age at the time she became pregnant and when she received the medication.

The victim became ill and was admitted to a hospital, requiring an emergency cesarean surgery. The child was born at 23 weeks gestation and weighed approximately 1 pound. As of June 12, 2026, the infant remains hospitalized and is expected to stay for an extended period of time. Kelly faces one count of Attempted First-Degree Feticide, a felony and one count of Domestic Abuse Battery of a Pregnant Victim, also a felony.

I have my doubts that people realize what’s going on — or want to. If we care about human life, if we care about women, if we care about truth, we need to do better than this.
