While Nancy Pelosi has done a lot over the course of her political career to make the American people worse off, she still finds time to express her “great pride” in the LGBT community, as she has been a Pride parade attendee since 1987.

Calling it a “glamour day,” Nancy Pelosi was interviewed as she rode in the San Francisco Pride Parade and claimed the LGBT community helped make this country a better place. It is unclear what she meant by that, considering many of the accomplishments when it comes to the founding of this nation were made by straight people, but I digress.

“This year on the anniversary of the founding of our country, the community has made the country more American.”

While you might be able to make an argument that gay people fought for equality under the law, despite there being many flaws in that argument, that is no longer the case. We are no longer dealing with a movement that claims they simply wish to have equal rights, as there are no rights a straight person has that a gay person does not. We are currently dealing with a movement that is actively campaigning for special rights, all at the expense of women’s rights, and the fact that people like Pelosi pretend this is somehow akin to making the country more American is totally pathetic.
