Watch: Big-brained Jasmine Crockett blasts GOP for Jeffrey Epstein donations... except it's the WRONG Jeffrey Epstein

How stupid do you have to be to, when you want to smear your opponents for taking donations from Jeffrey Epstein, not check to see if it's the right Jeffrey Epstein? Apparently, you have to be Jasmine Crockett stupid. On the floor of the House, she thought she had Republicans in a gotcha. Instead, she gotched herself. Hard.
At issue was Democrat Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett and the attempt to censure her over her - alleged(?) - Epstein ties:
Plaskett was caught texting Epstein, whose primary residence was in the U.S. Virgin Islands, during a 2019 hearing when former Trump attorney Michael Cohen was testifying about his work with the president amid an ongoing probe into Trump's business dealings and matters tied to the 2016 election.
Of course, she didn't get censured, because you can always find a handful of Republican congressmembers to be useless at any given time. But before then, her party tried defending her. Rep. Jamie Raskin took the smart, albeit still embarrassing and pathetic, tactic of claiming Plaskett was "just responding to a constituent." The fact said constituent was a convicted pedophile at the time was a mere cowinkidink.
Plaskett needed to be extra and was looking for that viral moment.
I had my team dig in very quickly...
In fairness, the streets say her team hates her. As do -- again, this is according to the streets -- her colleagues.
Crockett's team quickly dug up a bunch of Republicans who took donations from Jeffrey Epstein. The rub is they dug up too quickly to double-check if it was THAT Jeffrey Epstein.
One of those Republicans, former congressman and current EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, found the accusation to be very amusing.
The question is, what excuse will Crockett use to distract from looking like such a nincompoop?
a. She KNEW it was the wrong Epstein and will claim that was the point she was making, even if it was a point only she understood.
b. RAAAAAAACISM!

Where things go from here, now that the House and Senate voted to release everything, is anyone's guess. My guess is things are about to get even more ridiculous. Not in a way where any powerful people are held responsible for their heinous deeds. But in a way that the content coming out of it will be fantastic.
