Sex-ed group likens 'Baby Olivia' video to horror film 'Rosemary's Baby' | Live Action

While promoting abortions, life-altering trans-ideology, and the sexualization of children, sex-ed leader SIECUS (Sex Ed for Social Change) claims that Live Action's "Baby Olivia" video brings "shame" and is a "fright" akin to the horror film "Rosemary's Baby."

Key Takeaways:
  • SIECUS, a notorious sex-ed groups that promotes abortion, transgender ideology, and more to kids in public schools, sent out an email slandering Live Action's "Meet Baby Olivia" video as well as "Baby Olivia" bills seeking to add prenatal development education to school sex-education curricula.

  • In its email, SIECUS claimed the video "spread(s) misinformation and shame" and even likened it to the 1968 horror film "Rosemary's Baby" in its Halloween-themed email.

  • What's truly horrifying is the history of SIECUS and its founders, along with the warped ideology it promotes to children today under the guise of "education."

  • The Details:

Live Action's ‘Baby Olivia,’ a scientifically accurate “animated video showing each stage of embryonic development in the womb,” has been the inspiration for legislation that has already passed in six states, with similar bills introduced in 18 other states. These bills vary, but they all call for instruction and education on human prenatal development in public schools.

The public schools, however, have long been the 'territory' of groups seeking to promote abortion, transgender ideology, and more. And these groups really, really hate Baby Olivia.

Sex Ed for Social Change (SIECUS), long known for its sexually explicit materials promoting casual sex and abortion to minors, recently sent an email to its supporters claiming that ‘Baby Olivia’ legislation “spread(s) misinformation and shame” — even likening ‘Baby Olivia’ to the 1968 horror film “Rosemary’s Baby” as part of its “Sex Ed Isn’t Scary” media propaganda campaign.

The video is not a "high-definition ultrasound video" as SIECUS falsely portrays it in the email above; it is a computer animated rendering of prenatal development. Shouldn't SIECUS know the difference? In addition, the "Baby Olivia" bills introduced in various states do not replace sex-ed curricula; they add prenatal development as a required part of instruction.

But perhaps SIECUS was too busy attempting to portray a computer animation of prenatal development as akin to a horror film in which (spoiler alert) a woman is impregnated and gives birth to the child of Satan, to really notice actual facts... which tells us all we need to know about SIECUS' extremely warped view of pregnancy and prenatal development. Watch the (apparently "frightening") video below:

This isn’t the first time SIECUS has attacked ‘Baby Olivia’. The group claimed in its earlier 2025 Mid-Year Report that ‘Baby Olivia’ legislation “seek(s) to stigmatize abortion” despite the fact that the video solely focuses on prenatal development and never mentions abortion.

SIECUS has also claimed that ‘Baby Olivia’ is medically inaccurate, which Live Action News has already debunked multiple times. Instead of providing facts to substantiate their claims, however, SIECUS continues to cite pro-abortion sources like the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) while providing no specifics.

SIECUS suggests that its neo-Marxist aligned, “inclusive" sexualized curriculum and supported materials are ‘scientifically accurate,' but leave out the disturbing history and ideology at its core: the idea that children are sexual from birth, and consequently all things are permissible so long as a child provides consent.

Why should SIECUS or any of the members of the FoSE coalition be allowed unfettered access to the minds of America’s youth? Here are the disturbing facts:

The founder and founding board members of SIECUS have also historically promoted the use of pornography to ‘teach children,’ and have attempted to normalize the sexual abuse of children and bestiality.

SIECUS and the Future of Sex Ed (FoSE) coalition claim that a child (or anyone) can “change” his or her biological sex, which is scientifically impossible.

SIECUS founder Mary Calderone maintained a close relationship with the porn industry, using seed money provided by Playboy founder Hugh Hefner to fund the launch of SIECUS.

SIECUS founding board member Wardell Pomeroy, a close associate of "The Father of the Sexual Revolution," Alfred Kinsey (who used the sexual abuse of infants and children at the hands of pedophiles, and responses by jail inmates, as ‘scientific research’) disturbingly stated:

"We find many beautiful and mutually satisfying [sexual] relationships between fathers and daughters. These may be transient or ongoing, but they have no harmful effects…. Incest between adults and younger children can also prove to be a satisfying and enriching experience…. Incest can be a satisfying, non-threatening, and even an enriching emotional experience, as I said earlier."

    — Wardell Pomeroy

So, in the words of this SIECUS founding board member, incest is "enriching" — yet we are expected to believe that watching a video that portrays human prenatal development or watching actual ultrasounds that show the human being in the womb somehow causes the observer to feel "shame"?

SIECUS and other members of the Future of Sex Education (FoSE) coalition deny the scientifically proven humanity of the preborn child while supporting abortion. SIECUS states in its If/Then Series: Abortion Access, “If you care about abortion rights, then you should care about sex education.”

It is likely that this is why they see 'Olivia' as a tool of "shame."

    The Bottom Line:

The task at hand for the pro-life movement is clear (with just a few key modifications to SIECUS’ statement): If you care about ending abortion and protecting the rights of preborn humans, then you must combat sexualized, abortion-promoting sex education.

By debunking the false sex-ed narratives peddled by SIECUS and the FoSE coalition and accurately teaching students the truth of prenatal development inside the womb, Live Action’s ‘Baby Olivia’ video, as well as prenatal education in schools, are huge steps toward making sure kids learn the truth.
