Iran’s Foreign Minister Calls Israel a US Pet to Be Muzzled
The Iranian Foreign Minister now says that Israel is a US “Pet” that needs to be “muzzled.” They want Israel to disengage from bombing Hezbollah. However, it can’t be a one-way agreement. Israel said they will act on their own.
In a post on social media platform X, Araqchi wrote: “The terms of the Islamabad MoU are crystal clear and public for all to see. POTUS has committed the US to muzzling its pets in Tel Aviv. If they ignore their master, Iran will school them. Any threat against our People and Leadership will receive an immediate, powerful response.”
Defense Minister Israel Katz said Monday in a briefing with Israeli military correspondents that the IDF was “preparing to act independently in Iran. The IDF is just waiting for it,” adding that “any fire on an Israeli community will be answered with a devastating strike in Dahiyeh.”
Iran believes Israel was going to kill Foreign Minister Araghchi and Parliament Speaker Ghalibaf as they traveled to negotiations. The New York Times reported that the US was also afraid Israel would assassinate them, and allegedly told regional concerns to warn Iran. The Times report claimed every negotiator attended not knowing they’d land. However, the Times cannot be trusted.
Is Saudi Arabia distancing itself from the US?
The IRGC Won’t Give Up the Strait
Iran’s chief negotiator, Ghalibaf, reaffirms the Strait is “under Iran’s command, not the US’s.” Iran’s IRGC warned that any ship not using Iran’s approved route and any American interference would face an “immediate and powerful” response.
