Does Trump Know About Carney’s Secret Policing Pact With China?

Back in January, Trump posted on Truth Social about Carney’s deals with China:

Right after Trump’s post on Truth Social, Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney made a U-turn, which was also in response to Trump’s withdrawing his invitation for Carney to join his Gaza “Board of Peace.” Carney was dumped because he called for a diplomatic revolt against America to serve his own Marxist, globalist agenda. While in Davos, Carney called upon “like-minded middle powers” to “band together to push their priorities on the world stage,” specifically against the U.S. for “weaponizing” economics. Before he arrived in Davos, Carney’s trip to China likely emboldened him to antagonize Trump. In China, Carney wrapped up deals with the Communist regime. According to a report in the National Post, Carney “identified the key to dealing with the Chinese Communists on a level playing field: give them everything they want, and more.”

Based on Trump’s most recent statement at the G-7 leaders summit, it looked as though any “misunderstandings” between Carney and Trump were put aside, and a calm is prevailing between the two neighbors, but one must remember that Carney’s hostilities toward Trump were only buried because of Trump’s retaliatory threat. “Trump says he ‘could understand’ Canada’s cap on Chinese electric vehicle imports,” by Brian Platt, National Post, June 17, 2026:

U.S. President Donald Trump is happy with Canada’s arrangement to allow a capped number of Chinese electric vehicles to be imported at a low-tariff rate, Prime Minister Mark Carney said.

When asked about Carney’s comment, Trump didn’t express explicit approval, but said he could understand the quota.

The deal, unveiled during Carney’s trip to Beijing in January, allows as many as 49,000 Chinese EVs in a 12-month period at a tariff rate of around 6 per cent, with that quota to climb gradually over time. Prior to this year, Canada had a tariff of more than 100% on those vehicles.

“He likes the structure, actually,” Carney told reporters at the Group of Seven leaders summit in Evian, France, on Wednesday. “We had a follow-up conversation.”

A hot mic captured Carney talking to Trump on Tuesday about the China deal and explaining how it capped the number of imported cars. “I thought you’d actually like that,” Carney was heard saying. Trump appeared to agree, saying “that’s good.”…

Canadians who know the truth about Carney are aware that this apparently positive attitude toward Trump is only a useful veneer. Carney’s character was aptly described in an Edmonton Journal article before he became prime minister:

As Peter Foster, a Cambridge-educated economist and former senior editor of the Financial Post, wrote in 2020, Carney’s focus is radical change of the business and material world. “Carney’s plan is to control the global economy by seizing the commanding heights of finance, not by nationalization but by exerting non-democratic pressure to divest from, and stop funding, fossil fuels. The private sector is to become a partner in imposing its own bondage. This will be do-it-yourself totalitarianism.”..

…. In the end, we can trust Carney to keep pushing his failing Davos agenda and to bitterly attack populist pushback. We can’t trust him to put our own community first.

Former UK Prime Minister Liz Truss also warned that not only did Carney do a terrible job as the Bank of England governor, but he wasn’t to be trusted:

Carney is among the cohort who “move in and out of the financial sector” and don’t believe in actually representing the interests of the electorate. “They fundamentally believe that government should be run by experts who know best, which is them and their friends. They do not believe that democracy is a bottom-up thing.”

So who are Carney’s friends? Evidently they’re the globalists at Davos and in China. Carney is determined to forge ahead in a strategic relationship with China, in step with the policies of his predecessor Justin Trudeau.

Already, Canada is transforming into a country that resembles China by slowly losing its religious freedom. Under new legislation, Bill C-9, aka the “Combating Hate Act,” which expands Canada’s already stringent “hate speech” laws, the Criminal Code has been amended to remove religious expression as a defense for “hate crime” charges. This will enable Christians to be charged with “hate speech” simply for stating tenets of their faith that differ from the government’s policies. Islamic preachers, however, will be unlikely to be discomfited.

There has been a troubling turn in Canada in its collaboration with China which could well explain Carney’s suspiciously friendly attitude toward Trump at the G-7 Summit, as he displayed an eagerness for Trump’s  approval. “RCMP won’t release China policing pact despite Conservative, NDP pressure,” by Sean Boynton,  Global News, May 21, 2026:

The RCMP says it won’t release the full agreement it signed with China’s Ministry of Public Security without Beijing agreeing to do so, despite demands from the federal Conservatives and NDP for answers on what it contains.

In a statement to Global News on Wednesday, RCMP spokesperson Robin Percival said the memorandum of understanding signed in January “outlines specific forms of mutual collaboration” on policing, the exchange of information and investigative assistance, but did not give further details.

“The RCMP will not unilaterally make public or share the contents of an MOU with a third party without the concurrence of the other party,” Percival said.

“As such, the RCMP is not releasing the contents of the MOU at this time.”…

A joint statement from Carney and Chinese President Xi Jinping after their meeting said the two sides had “committed to strengthening law enforcement cooperation to combat corruption and transnational crimes, including telecommunication and cyber fraud and illegal synthetic drugs in accordance with their respective laws.”….

It doesn’t take a genius to see how outrageous it is to allow China any oversight over corruption, crimes, cyber fraud and drugs in any Western country, let alone America’s neighbor, Canada. And the secrecy surrounding the Carney-China policing pact is ominous. It is no surprise that “organizations including Hong Kong pro-democracy activists in Canada, as well as the Uyghur and Tibetan diasporas, have said the secrecy around the agreement has created fear and uncertainty in their communities.”

This goes far beyond these communities. The Carney-China agreement on policing is a national security issue, not just for Canada, but for the US as well.

Under the secretive agreement, Canada’s federal Royal Canadian Mounted Police now views Chinese police as “law enforcement partners” in Canada, according to Senior Deputy Commissioner Bryan Larkin.

China showcased to the world the hollowness of its partnerships with Iran and Venezuela in the face of Trump’s crackdown on both countries. Beijing stood helplessly by, either unable or unwilling to support their allies. Yet it benefited China to keep its chief enemy America busy and focused on Iran while it built up its international presence. Part of its strategy may well be to exploit an easy entrance through America’s backdoor and backyard — Canada.

Under Carney, Canada is becoming a sibling of China. Carney made a mockery of Trump’s January Truth Revolt post while Trump was tied up in war and cleaning up the mess the Biden administration left for him.

The latest Carney appeasement of Trump at the G-7 could well be a deception, as he flaunts his secret deals with China that Beijing now has control over, and must give its permissions for disclosure.
