The Daily Wire reported last week that a trans-identifying boy won first place at the girls’ Class B state championship in Maine as the state defies President Donald Trump’s executive order banning men from women’s sports. 

But Trump isn’t looking the other way. 

He directly confronted Maine Democratic Governor Janet Mills at the White House in front of dozens of her fellow governors over the boy’s victory in the girls’ event. 

“Your population doesn’t want men playing in women’s sports. You better comply because otherwise you’re not getting any federal funding,” Trump told Mills. 

Mills, who appeared rattled by Trump’s remark, shot back, “We’ll see you in court.” 

“Good, I’ll see you in court,” Trump said. “I look forward to that, that should be a real easy one. And enjoy your life after governor, because I don’t think you’ll be in elected politics.”

Boom! What a devastating moment for Governor Mills and all those who defend the absurdity of men competing against women. Our president is absolutely right: over the past few years, Americans torched this garbage ideology at every turn. So why does Janet Mills keep shoveling it down Maine’s throat? Clueless — or just plain stubborn?

Trump has shown that his executive order on women’s sports wasn’t just a moment for the cameras to capture him fulfilling a campaign promise. The president is making this a pivotal issue for the future of America, and rightly so.
