Breakthrough in case of student, 21, killed in the most needless way
Two men have been charged with the murder of a Georgia student who was killed by a stray bullet.
Brianna Long, 21, died on October 29, 2023 after she was accidentally shot while at work.
She tending bar at The Pier Bar in Remerton when she and a male colleague were hit. He survived but Long tragically died from her injuries.
Now police in Georgia have issued arrest warrants for two suspected gang members in connection with the incident.
Tsion Clayton, 23, and Kimone Green,21, both of Lowndes County, Georgia, have been charged with one count of malice murder. Further charges are expected.
Investigators said that the suspects were looking for someone linked to a gang dispute.
Both men are already in custody in separate, unrelated cases in Georgia and Florida.

The news has come as some relief to Long's family, who have been campaigning tirelessly for justice since her murder.
'Please keep praying for our families; we're going through an extremely difficult time, and there's still a long road ahead of us,' Long's mother Brandi Spinks said.
Long was an aspiring dental hygienist who had enrolled at Valdosta State University following her graduation from Paulding County High School in 2020.
Her dreams were senselessly cut short when she was hit by the stray bullet just before 2.40am on the day she died.
She was remembered as a popular and active member of her school community, as well as a talented cheerleader and soccer player.
'Brianna had an unparalleled ability to light up a room and make everyone around her feel lovedm' her obituary reads.
'With her infectious laughter and genuine personality, she never met a stranger.
'Her genuine compassion and empathy endeared her to countless individuals, leaving an indelible mark on their lives.'

'This case is active and ongoing,' The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said in a statement.
'Anyone with information on this case is asked to call the GBI Thomasville Office at 229-225-4090.

'Once complete, the case file will be given to the Southern Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office for prosecution.'
