A popular TikTok account decided to “break” a story painting Barron as secretly gay and wrapped it in a fake insider narrative about his love life. It was presented like some juicy scoop, but there wasn’t a shred of proof. When outlets, even left-wing Snopes, checked it, the whole thing fell apart, and the TikToker deleted his clip.
The only true part of the story was the left’s desperation.

They wanted that story to be real so badly because it fits their favorite coping fantasy: that somewhere inside the Trump orbit, there’s a hidden ally who secretly belongs to them. They did it with Melania during Trump’s first term, reading “signals” in her clothes and facial expressions like she was blinking Morse code from captivity. Now it’s Barron. In their heads, he’s not a real person anymore; he’s a character who exists to soften the “Trump monster” that lives in their minds.
This is how they survive politics. Melania becomes a secret resistor. Barron becomes a secret LGBTQ “ally.” They build these little dream worlds to feel safe and morally right, then fall apart (again) when reality doesn’t match. And in the process, they create exactly what they claim to fight: disinformation traps, viral lies, and fake narratives that take on a life of their own.
The pattern never changes. Nobody screams louder about fake news than the same people who invent it on demand. And turning Barron into their fantasy version of “acceptable LGBTQ Trump” is just the latest attempt to calm their own nerves, stick it to “homophobic” Trump, and not tell the truth.
That’s the anatomy of the left’s rumor mill: plant the fantasy, let it spread, then call in the “fact check” crew to mop up once the lie’s done its work.

However, that story subsequently led to a bombshell rumor about Barron which has since been debunked.
According to The List, TikTok user @tigre_zigre alleged in a since deleted video that Barron’s date was actually a 32-year-old male ballroom dancer.
“[Barron] caused chaos at Trump Tower when he closed a whole full floor so that he could have a private meeting with his new boyfriend, Carlos,” @tigre_zigre asserted.
“Carlos, the Argentinian ballroom dancer, who’s now dating Barron. Well, I don’t think the father knew anything about this. So, Donald closed not just the floor Barron was on but three floors above and three floors below,” the TikTok user went on to maintain.
The video was followed by speculation that the Carlos in question was German dancer Carlos Strasser, who performs with the Stuttgart Ballet.
Yet as The List noted, those claims were investigated by the fact-checking website Snopes, which found no evidence to support them.
Jennifer Schurr serves as a spokesperson for Stuttgart Ballet, and she told Snopes, “After talking with Carlos, I can confirm that he has no connection whatsoever to Barron Trump — he has never met him.”
Just listen to the level of coping and cosplay as this Barron “LGBTQ ally” fantasy started gaining steam on the left.

This whole fake news episode says more about the left’s psychology than it does about anything to do with Barron Trump. They needed the rumor to be true because it made them feel in control again. Turning him into an “LGBTQ ally” was about comfort and coping. It let them believe that even inside the Trump world, someone secretly belonged to their side.
These are really broken people.
But that’s the pattern every time. When reality doesn’t fit their worldview, they build one that does. Melania became the hostage, and Barron became the enlightened son who would redeem the family name. None of it’s real, but it helps them sleep at night.
