Popular British YouTuber and social media personality Joe Weller has publicly announced that he has become a Christian, revealing he was "saved by the Lord Jesus Christ" after years of searching for fulfillment through other means.

In videos posted to Instagram, Weller, who has more than 5.3 million YouTube subscribers and 2.2 million Instagram followers, told followers that his newfound faith in Jesus Christ had transformed his life and brought him a sense of peace he had been unable to find elsewhere.

"Hey, I just want to say that I have been saved by the Lord Jesus Christ, and it is the best thing that has ever happened to me," Weller said in one video. "Never, never did I think I'd be saying those words."

The 30-year-old content creator, who rose to prominence through comedy sketches, music videos and boxing-related content, said he previously dismissed Christianity as a “load of nonsense,” but “when it makes sense, it really does make sense."

"I have tried everything, everything to try and feel genuinely fulfilled and at peace," he said. "Spirituality, diet, travel, here, there, everywhere, work, fame, money. I have tried everything that seems like it could work for me."

According to Weller, it was during a period of personal struggle that he turned to faith.

"He never ever gave up," he said of God. "He never gave up when I was at rock bottom, and he was the only place left to turn."

"He has genuinely transformed me. He has renewed my mind. He is the truth, the way, the life that we are all searching for, and I'm just so thankful and grateful that he never gave up on me."

In a second video, Weller became visibly emotional as he encouraged viewers facing personal challenges to seek Jesus.

"Whatever it is that you're battling, absolutely, there is a way out, and it is found in turning to Jesus Christ," he said. "And if you don't know how to pray, if you don't know where to start, just start by asking him to reveal himself to you."

Weller urged viewers to abandon harmful habits and behaviors and return to God. Reflecting on his own experiences, he lamented how many people seek relief through substances, distractions and unhealthy behaviors when the only true satisfaction is found in Jesus.

"Come home," he said. "Turn away from the enemy, turn away from all the things that you know don't really serve you."

"It's not about coming perfectly," he said. "He requires mercy, not sacrifice. Come as you are. Turn to him exactly as you are."

The social media star acknowledged that embracing faith can be a difficult and sometimes confusing process, but encouraged viewers to persevere.

"It may take time, and it may be a process, and it may be very confusing at first," he said. "Walk in faith, not by sight, and you will not regret it."

"I'm just a kid from esports, just another kid like you," he said. "To be touched in this way, and to have this moment where we're sharing in this kind of way ... I'm just grateful."

In a third video, Weller addressed the emotional response his earlier posts had generated and teased a longer YouTube video in which he plans to explain his conversion story in greater detail.

"Those tears, they are from a place of utter deep joy, but also pain," he said. "I'd love to just shake everyone and be like, 'This is what you're looking for.'"

He added that he is "trusting the process" and believes he is being guided in how and when to share his story.

"There is a longer form YouTube video coming out very soon, where I go into everything, everything," Weller said. "So buzzing to put that out."

Weller is the latest high-profile online personality to publicly embrace Christianity and share his faith journey with millions of followers.

Last year, Streamer and professional gamer Tyler Blevins, better known as "Ninja," told viewers during a Twitch livestream that he and his wife have been attending church weekly and striving to become more authentic and disciplined.

"We're going to church every Sunday," Blevins said, referring to himself and his wife, Jessica. "Jess and I are going through this journey, where, you know, our relationship with God and Jesus."

Joe Rogan has also recently revealed that he's been attending a Christian church and described the experience as overwhelmingly positive.

"It's actually very nice," Rogan said during a June episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience." "They're all just trying to be better people. It's a good vibe."
