In case you haven’t heard, Taylor Swift released her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, early Friday morning. The music world has been buzzing over the pop star’s latest musical gem. Including Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy.

The album features numerous tracks that reference her and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce’s relationship.

You’d think a self-proclaimed Swiftie would be thrilled about every single song on the album. A true fan could hear a recording of Swift snoring at this point and describe it as musical genius.

But Portnoy is not happy with at least one track. He’s publicly stated he is refusing to listen to the song.

What could possibly have soured the newest contributor to Fox Sports’ college football pregame show, Big Noon Kickoff? We’ll let him explain in his own words.

Dave Portnoy won’t listen to one song about Travis Kelce

Portnoy listed off some of his favorite tracks – including “Honey,” “Eldest Daughter,” “Life of a Showgirl,” “The Fate of Ophelia,” and “Opalite.”

Outkick’s David Hookstead would tend to disagree with him. Hookstead believes there are roughly zero quality songs on the album.

“This album is unbelievably bad. It’s atrocious. It’s embarrassingly bad. It sounds like a bunch of AI-generated slop, and it’s cringe as hell from start to finish,” he wrote. “It’s so bad that I found myself laughing at points due to the absurdity of the lyrics and tone.”

“Who knew dating Travis Kelce could change someone in this drastic fashion?

One such song, titled “Wood,” gives a graphic explanation of how much Kelce changed the notoriously boyfriend-hopping Swift.

“Wood” has been described by Cosmopolitan as Swift’s “raunchiest” song yet, and explains it is literally an “NSFW Travis Kelce sex song.”

Portnoy wants nothing to do with it.

He’s boycotting ‘Wood’

Dave Portnoy admitted to listening to “Wood” a few times and, according to TMZ, actually enjoying it … Until he realized what the song was about.

Really, Dave? You didn’t know what it was about? Mentions of Kelce’s “redwood tree,” his “magic wand,” and his “New Heights of manhood” were a little too vague, were they?

You weren’t the least bit suspicious when you got to this line? “Redwood tree, it ain’t hard to see / His love was thе key that opened my thighs.”

Once it dawned on him, Portnoy declared he would no longer listen to that song.

“I’m not bobbing and weaving and jamming to a song about Travis’ d***,” he said. “So, ‘Wood’ is out. Great beat, out.”

Perhaps “beat” isn’t the best choice of words, Dave.
