Angel Reese Reveals She and Caleb Williams Share the Same Nail Tech With Eyebrow-Raising Comment
Chicago Sky star Angel Reese revealed on social media that she shares the same nail technician as NFL quarterback Caleb Williams. Her giddy announcement comes after the Chicago Bears signal caller had his nail art featured during a Monday Night Football game against the Minnesota Vikings.
While she was no doubt trying to support her fellow Windy City star athlete, Reese ended up fumbling the message a bit. Williams, you see, displayed a message on his nails promoting suicide prevention. They featured the purple and teal awareness ribbon on his right hand’s middle finger and the number “988” on his left hand.
“988” represents the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Williams’ gesture coincided with Suicide Prevention Month in September.
And yet, Reese somehow blurted this out on social media: “Love this. My nail tech really wanted to do his nails & she KILLED it! So proud!”
Gah! The cringe.

There’s so much to break down here, it’s ridiculous, but as your fearless reporter here at Bounding Into Sports, I will do my best to boil it down succinctly.
I kid, I kid. Seriously, Caleb’s message on his nails was strong and very much appreciated. Which brings us to the most obvious point – How did Reese give a tone-deaf shoutout to Williams’ nails, which had a suicide prevention theme, and use the word “killed”?
In all caps, no less. Girl!

Despite the Bears’ 27-24 loss to the Vikings Monday night, Williams’ advocacy for suicide prevention received widespread praise, overshadowing past criticism of his nail-painting habit.
“I usually give CW crap for the nails, but this specific one is awesome,” a fan wrote on social media.
Caleb’s nail-painting habit is influenced by his mother, who works as a nail technician. Which, come to think of it, maybe he and Angel Reese should be promoting her business.
Speaking of Reese, prior to the cringeworthy “KILLED it” post, she was suspended by the Sky for the first half of their game against the Las Vegas Aces due to comments she made to the Chicago Tribune.
The comments, in which she viciously criticized the team’s roster and direction, were deemed “detrimental to the team.”
