Mike Tyson Drops Mr. Beast with Savage Punch in Wild Promotion for Canelo-Crawford Fight

YouTube star Mr. Beast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, participated in a promotional stunt in Las Vegas to hype the Terence Crawford-Canelo Alvarez boxing match this past Saturday.

He may have ended up with as many regrets as Alvarez by the close of the event.

The 26-year-old, known for his extravagant viral challenge videos, was left struggling to breathe after boxing legend Mike Tyson delivered a powerful punch to his midsection.

“Tyson is about to punch me, because thanks to Riyadh Season (a series of entertainment, cultural, and sporting events held in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh), Canelo-Crawford is about to happen,” the YouTuber explained. “It literally starts in an hour. So, after this, you need to go watch it.”

Tyson was chomping at the bit, ready to strike almost before he could get the sentence out.

Mr. Beast was doubled over in pain, struggling to breathe.

Mr. Beast has to take a Knee

Mr. Beast was forced to take a knee after the vicious body blow. And after the 59-year-old, considered by some to be the greatest heavyweight boxing champion of all time, helped him back up, he had to take another moment to gather himself.

Making it even more savage is the big grin on Tyson’s face after dropping the internet star. Not to mention the ensuing laughter as he stood over him.

Look, I’m not saying one way or the other whether this was staged, fake, or if Mr. Beast embellished a little or not. What I am saying is that Tyson’s punch was a lot harder than anything he threw at Jake Paul this past November.

The Paul-Tyson fight was a completely unwatchable event, save for the airing of ‘Iron Mike’s’ butt for the world to see. Tyson, who reportedly made $20 million from the fight against Paul, lost by unanimous decision.

A significant portion of the boxing fanbase left thinking he had pulled his punches, thus rendering the fight “rigged.” Leading up to the fight, Tyson and Paul insisted it would be a legitimate matchup.

But the battle between Tyson and Mr. Beast seems more legitimate by comparison.

Terence Crawford stuns Canelo Alvarez

Mr. Beast wasn’t the only one who had a rough night on Saturday. The highly anticipated super middleweight title fight between undisputed champion Canelo Álvarez and undefeated four-division titleholder Terence Crawford took place later in the evening.

In a tactical masterclass, the 37-year-old Crawford outboxed the naturally larger Álvarez over 12 rounds, absorbing power shots while landing precise counters to secure a unanimous decision victory with scores of 116-112, 115-113, and 115-113.

Crawford’s triumph marked him as the first male boxer in the four-belt era to become undisputed champion in three divisions, solidifying his legacy. He now has a 42-0 record with 31 knockouts.

This was only the third defeat of Alvarez’s career.

“Canelo is a great champion,” Crawford said after the bout. “I’ve got to take my hat off to him. He’s a strong competitor. Like I said before, I’ve got nothing but respect for Canelo. I’m a big fan of Canelo, and he fought like a champion today.”
