The SPLC is hoist by its own petard.

Every now and again, someone in Congress takes advantage of having this or that weasel to question under oath. Sen. John Kennedy is a master at making them squirm, and all he does is calmly ask the kinds of questions Normal Americans would ask, and particularly, the kinds of follow-up questions the media and congressional Democrats never ask of Democrats. He’s never rude or angry. He doesn’t insult anyone, but when a witness is concealing something or lying, or says something absolutely stupid, he calls them on it to great comic effect.

Texas Republican Representative Brandon Gill must be Kennedy’s understudy. He too is expert at exposing weasels and had such a one before him on 06-09-26: the newly appointed head of the Southern Poverty Law Center, one Bryan Fair. The SPLC is in real trouble. It has been exposed as discovering there is far, far less supply of racism than there is Democrat demand. So, what’s an organization whose sole reason for existing is fighting racism to do? That’s a particularly pertinent question for the SPLC, whose financial existence depends on donations for the express purpose of fighting racism.

It’s particularly important after the abolishment of USAID, which long served as a domestic and international money laundering operation for Democrat causes, NGOs, and non-profits. A great many of those organizations, including the Democrat(ic) National Committee, suddenly ran out of money when USAID closed its doors for the last time. We can be certain that should Democrats once again control the government, another money laundering organization like USAID, but probably with another name, will be immediately created to raid the public purse anew.

Fair appeared in part to answer for the DOJ’s indictment, and more recent superseding indictment, against the SPLC for essentially paying racists and racist organizations—there aren’t many left--to create and keep alive organizations like the KKK, so the SPLC can raise money to "fight" them. In essence, the SPLC is charged with defrauding donors—wire fraud, etc.—for tricking donors into donating money to fight the racism the SPLC is creating and sustaining.

How much has the SPLC been paying? The SPLC, which has over $750 million in assets, has been caught—allegedly—paying many millions thus far. Creating and maintaining racism is obviously lucrative business.

The most delicious moments of Fair’s testimony occurred when Gill pressed Fair about Maine Democrat Senate Candidate Graham Platner and the Nazi Tottenkopf tattoo that used to adorn much of his chest. Platner got it some 18 years ago when he was in the Marine Corps, because what Marine doesn’t have the well-known symbol of Nazi SS death camp guards somewhere on their body? When that tattoo was exposed, Platner immediately had it covered with an equally ugly tattoo, and pretended he only learned what it represented when he ran for Senate. But of course! He had an enormous death’s head tattooed on his chest without the slightest idea what it was, nor did he ask the tattoo artist. Doesn’t everyone? That’s completely reasonable. Various former girlfriends and others have testified he knew exactly what it was and proudly told them about it.

Well. The obvious problem for Democrats is they’ve spent the last decade calling Donald Trump Hitler and a Nazi, and doing the same to pretty much every Normal American, yet they’re defending Platner because he’s their kind of Nazi. The problem for Fair is the SPLC exists in part to “fight” Nazi ideology, including their symbols. “Fight,” being defined as using that supposed principle to make hundreds of millions. Here’s the fun:

Gill asked Fair for his take on Platner during a House Judiciary Committee hearing focused on the SPLC on Tuesday.

"Do people who aren't Nazis normally get Nazi tattoos on their chest?" Gill asked.

Gill was holding up a picture of a shirtless Platner that showed his infamous Totenkopf tattoo on his portly chest; Platner has since had it removed.

Oh, the humanity! Oh, the irony! Oh, the hilarity, and oh, the just deserts! It couldn’t happen to worse people.
