This time. the U.K. did surrender. To multiple enemies.

This time it wasn't to Germany, Italy, or Japan. Nor was it to Germany, Austria-Hungary, and the Ottoman Empire.

No, this time England surrendered to Islam -- and to even more insidious enemies: self-delusion and self-hatred.

Sadly, they are not alone. The British empire lies in shambles.

Consider what just happened in Australia. Western Europe teeters on the brink of extinction. Even the United States is in grave danger of passing into history.

First, this happens slowly-- then, in a blink of an eye. And then it is too late. I am watching “too late” approach very quickly. With trepidation and a lump in my throat. 

The English classic rock band Supertramp has a line in a song called “Fool’s Overture” which reads: “Too late, the prophets cried, ‘the island’s sinking, let's take to the sky.’ Called the man a fool, stripped him of his pride, everyone was laughing up until the day he died.” The “man” referenced was Winston Churchill, of “Never Surrender” fame.

One wonders whether the likes of Churchill, Thatcher, and Disraeli are together somewhere weeping. “We did surrender. And the British Empire didn't even last 100 years from what I claimed was our ‘finest hour,’” a stricken Churchill might lament.

It is no solace that Germany has surrendered, too.

So, as the pubs grow fewer in number, and Piccadilly Circus is drained of its color, Big Ben stands, seemingly smaller, his hands frozen forever showing the time: 9:11. Whether it’s a.m. or p.m. matters not, as it is too late now in any case. No one heeded the warning back when Great Britain could yet have been saved.

Churchill had his wilderness years, during which no one heeded him in his desire to prevent World War II. But this time neither the RAF nor the United States can save Britain. The latter is, whether many know it or not, in a battle for its own survival, as well. A battle, that if lost, will do what neither the U.K.'s civil war, nor a couple of World Wars could achieve.

While we in the West are having one or two children, if that, the “undocumented migrants” or, illegal aliens among us are having five or six. Darkness looms. The 7th century is calling. The progressive thing to do — no, the right thing to do —would be to tell it to go to hell … or back where it came from. Not that there is much of a difference.

Time is ticking. The West is capitulating. Civilizational surrender looms. I am far from the only one who is saying this. Mark Steyn has been warning us about demographic suicide for years now. And now even the Trump administration is on record as warning that Europe has maybe 20 or so years left to save itself from “civilizational erasure.” Unlimited and misplaced tolerance and an inexplicable suicidal empathy brought us to this point.

The Beatles, another English band, once sang “all you need is love.” But, sadly, that is not true and never was. What we need now is to recognize the truth. What we need now is sanity, commitment, and courage. For if we lose this battle, free will, prosperity, and liberty will perish forever from the Earth.
