Frey's Defiance: Wants Police to Battle ICE – Trump Must Invoke the Insurrection Act or Watch MN Burn
I'm not sure what can be done about Mayor Frey of Minneapolis, but the Trump Administration must do everything in their power immediately to try and make him understand he doesn't usurp federal law enforcement. He is out of control and he is going to get people killed.
A thoughtful Mayor would be honest with his citizens. He would go up to the podium and say something like:
'I know there are people in our city upset about the raids to remove illegals. Maybe you've become friend with an illegal, dated them or allowed them to work at your home. Nevertheless and no matter how much you like them, they are breaking the law. We, in Minnesota, chose to overlook that and it worked for a while. Now, however, the Trump Administration has decided he isn't going to let us make our own rules anymore. You see, immigration policy is solely the purview of the federal government. They get to make all the decisions about who is allowed in this country. For example, that big meanie head in Florida, Ron DeSantis, can't decree that he wont allow any legal migrants to come to Florida because they don't want them. If a person is in this country legally, they can travel into all of the fifty states because we are united. Because of that, we all have to follow the same immigration rules, like them or not. So, even though those ICE officers make us BIG mad, we have to cooperate with them and y'all can't fight them'
This is what a sane Mayor would do. I wrote it for him. He's welcome to use it word for word. Frey and his wife make a lot of money off of migrants being brought into this country so he doesn't want to stop his gravy train.
Wow, Frey is super deep in the fraud https://t.co/GtyCTxdJn3

Frey's whole family is a mess.

Jacob Frey is leading young and naive Leftists to believe they can accomplish something by fighting the police. It's a dangerous game. Honestly, when Leftists get hurt, that's their choice and they can deal with the consequences. My concern is the ICE officers. They are simply doing their jobs and they have every right to go home safely at the end of the night. This is where the Trump Administration must step in. Clearly, they've been trying to just let Frey act crazy and basically ignore him. That's not working.
The president enforces immigration. That’s his duty.
Democrat officials try to block enforcement by force.
If Tim Walz and Jacob Frey continue down this road, they may face federal prison.
The president can and should invoke the Insurrection Act.

I agree with Mike Davis. It's an extraordinary, but a necessary step. They've left Trump no choice. Davis clerked for Justice Gorsuch so I trust his judgement on the legal remedies. The Trump Administration should heed his counsel.
Brutal honesty: This ICE situation in Minnesota may be a defining moment for how the next 10 years look. Any weakness means fueling the worst domestic extremists.
Here’s what should be done:
• Invoke the insurrection act

• Military arrests rioters and politicians

Timing is critical. If the Left continues to believe they can behave in this manner and there are no consequences, we are no longer a country where federal law matters. The fabric of our country will be torn apart. It's damaged now, It's very frayed. Now, may be the last chance to stop an unthinkable outcome.
It’s time for POTUS to invoke the Insurrection Act in Minnesota. My opening monologue today 🚨🚨 https://t.co/DwKyW5uxzh
