Debunking the 'Schumer Shutdown' Myths: Why Democrats Own This Government Standoff
If you are like me, you have a old high school friend or weirdo Lib co-worker on Facebook posting non-stop memes blaming the Republicans for the shutdown. Now, conservatives know this is the 'Schumer Shutdown' and it is fully on the Democrats, but Leftists are doing their best to convince the public otherwise. So, I'm dedicating today's column to refuting their nonsense.
You. Are. The. Party. In power. You have all 3 - Congress, Senate, and President. This is wild. https://t.co/3xKNyAWDhk

The argument that Republicans are to blame for the government shutdown because they control the House, Senate, and Presidency is misleading. The House has already passed a clean budget, fulfilling its role. The President's influence is limited to using his platform to urge Senate action—he doesn't vote on the budget. The real bottleneck lies in the Senate, where 100 senators must act. A budget requires 60 votes to pass, but Republicans don't hold 60 seats. Even if every Republican senator votes in favor, the budget still needs Democratic support to move forward. So far, Democrats have refused to cooperate, driven by their opposition to Donald Trump and unwillingness to work with Republicans, even at the expense of the American people. In this context, 'control' of the government means little—Senate Democrats hold the key, and they're choosing to keep the government shut down.
The House has already pass a clean CR.
What do they need to be there for? https://t.co/YuEI6bXwG7

You may come across a video clip circulating online showing Senators Gallego and Kelly confronting Speaker Johnson, criticizing him for the House being in recess during the government shutdown. This is pure political theater. The House has already passed a clean budget, completing its role in the process. The shutdown's resolution now rests solely with the Senate, where 60 votes are needed to pass the budget. There’s no reason for the House to remain in session, as the ball is entirely in the Senate’s court. Only the Senate can end this shutdown, and attempts to shift blame to the House are nothing more than a distraction.

Let's be clear: the Democrats are holding America hostage because the GOP refuses to give them money to offer free healthcare to illegals. That's all this is about. Don't let them deflect. They are fully responsible for closing the government in order to give freebies to illegals. That is just the facts.
Every day of shutdown because of Democrats is a new sombrero meme. They just keep getting better! pic.twitter.com/oXZMkSlPNh

The GOP are the good guys no matter how much the Democrats pout and kick their tiny little feet. The Democrats are straight 'mentirosas' (that means liars).
