As part of my job, I have to scroll Twitter every day looking for trending stories. I look for topics that will be of interest to our dear readers and make for an interesting read. Today, my doom scrolling has just been depressing. It started with the news of the sentence for Justice Kavanaugh's attempted murderer. 

This is INSANE.

The man who attempted to assassinate Brett Kavanaugh was just sentenced to just 8 years in prison by Biden-appointed Judge Deborah Boardman.

What could have been a life sentence was lowered to 8 years because the person claimed to be trans. The judge said it wasn't fair to sentence him to life because he thinks he's a woman but Trump says federal prisons must house prisoners based on their biological sex.

Then, the Fox News Digital Columnist David Marcus can't use the service 'Lyft' anymore because he 'dared' tell the driver they have a Antifa problem in Portland. The driver didn't like that too much and reported him for harassment. Conservatives aren't even allowed to tell the truth.

That's the most depressing part. We won. The conservatives. Trump is the President, but the cult of Leftism has so much power it feels like they still have all the control. Heck, a criminal can attempt to murder a conservative Justice and only get 8 years in this country right now. J6 defendants who never tried to kill anyone got longer sentences than that. Then, a conservative shares true information about current events and gets kicked out of a ride share service.

Apparently, the 'customer is always right' only applies to Leftist consumers. Conservative customers better shut up and ride quietly. Obviously, these 2 events are on different ends of the spectrum in seriousness, but both speak to a larger issue ... the Left has the power and they are not giving it up.
