Vice President JD Vance just took to X to pressure Senate Leader John Thune and Senator Chuck Grassley to end the “Blue Slip process”, which he says has long outlived its purpose.

He didn’t call them out by name, but given that these two men are the ones President Trump has singled out, I’d say this was meant for them specifically.

Here’s what he wrote:

The single biggest obstacle to prosecuting violent leftists is judges and prosecutors in deep blue areas who think violence is OK if you’re a leftist. This is why we must get rid of the blue slip process.

It’s an institutional safeguard that has long outlives its purpose.

We are doing everything we can to ensure justice is done all over our country. But it would be really nice to have judges and prosecutors who didn’t make that work more difficult.

This is one tradition I think Democrats would gladly bypass to install more leftist judges, especially if they win the Senate next year. They already tried to remove the filibuster when they were last in power.
