BREAKING UPDATE: An active shooter at a church in Grand Blanc, Michigan left multiple victims Sunday morning before the suspect was killed, according to police. 10 people were struck during the incident, the Grand Blanc Chief of Police said. The suspect has not yet been named, but was described by police as being 40 years old and of Michigan.The suspect drove his vehicle through the front door of the church, then exiting and firing his weapon. Police believe the fire was intentionally set. The suspect was shot dead by police after a short shoot out.
Police say an investigation is underway to establish a motive.

Authorities said the situation unfolded at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on McCandlish Road shortly before 11 am. Officers confirmed at 11:25 am that the shooter was “down” and there was no ongoing threat to the public.
The church building caught fire during the incident and remains actively burning, police added.
Grand Blanc Township Police issued a statement urging people to avoid the area. “There are multiple victims and the shooter is down. There is NO threat to the public at this time. The church is actively on fire,” the department said.

Such violence at a place of worship is heartbreaking and chilling. Please join me in praying for the victims of this terrible tragedy," Attorney General Pam Bondi said on X Sunday morning.
