Multiple people have reportedly been shot at Dearborn, Michigan’s Fairlane Town Center.
Witnesses told WXYZ that the shooting occurred on a lower level of the mall, with one witness saying the shooting followed a fight between two men. Sources told the outlet that multiple people were shot, with at least one person seen being loaded into an ambulance.
Officials confirmed to Fox 2 that three people were shot in the incident, two fatally. One suffered a gunshot wound to the head, while another was shot in the abdomen. A bystander was also injured by gunfire.
Dearborn Police said in a statement, "Dearborn Police officers are currently on the scene investigating a shooting at Fairlane Town Center. This is an active and ongoing investigation. We are asking residents and visitors to avoid the area while officers secure the scene and investigators conduct their work. Additional information will be released as it becomes available. We appreciate the public's patience and cooperation.
