Anti-ICE agitators on Friday attempted to stop a federal vehicle from entering an ICE facility in the Chicago suburb of Broadview. Pepper balls and tear gas were deployed in an attempt to break up the crowd. Per Fox News, arrests have been made.
Footage captured by The Blaze’s Julio Rosas showed the crowd, many of whom were wearing all black and face masks, crowding around the front of a large SUV as it attempted to enter the facility. The agitators were seen banging on the vehicle’s hood and windows.
Per Fox 32, this is the fourth straight Friday of protests outside the facility over the transfer of detainees to out-of-state holding centers. Last Friday, 10 people were arrested after the group of agitators attempted to block the driveway to the processing center.
Outside the facility, agitators were heard chanting "arrest ICE," "shoot ICE," and "shoot the f*ckers." This comes after a shooting at a Dallas ICE facility, in which one detainee was killed and two others injured by gunman Joshua Jahn, who wanted to "give ICE agents real terror." Jahn fatally shot himself during the shooting.
