BREAKING: Cracker Barrel to go back to old logo after backlash

"Our new logo is going away and our 'Old Timer' will remain."

Cracker Barrel will be going back to their old logo after heavy backlash over its rebranding. This comes after President Donald Trump also put pressure on the restaurant chain on Tuesday.

"We thank our guests for sharing your voices and love for Cracker Barrel. We said we would listen, and we have. Our new logo is going away and our 'Old Timer' will remain," the company said on X.

"At Cracker Barrel, it’s always been – and always will be – about serving up delicious food, warm welcomes, and the kind of country hospitality that feels like family. As a proud American institution, our 70,000 hardworking employees look forward to welcoming you to our table soon," Cracker Barrel added.

Trump said in response on Truth Social, "Congratulations “Cracker Barrel” on changing your logo back to what it was. All of your fans very much appreciate it. Good luck into the future. Make lots of money and, most importantly, make your customers happy again!"

On Tuesday morning, after there had been heavy backlash against the restaurant chain for the logo change, as well as other policies, Trump posted to Truth Social, "Cracker Barrel should go back to the old logo, admit a mistake based on customer response (the ultimate Poll), and manage the company better than ever before."

"They got a Billion Dollars worth of free publicity if they play their cards right. Very tricky to do, but a great opportunity. Have a major News Conference today. Make Cracker Barrel a WINNER again. Remember, in just a short period of time I made the United States of America the 'HOTTEST' Country anywhere in the World. One year ago, it was 'DEAD.' Good luck!" Trump added at the time.

White House spokesman Anna Kelly also posted to X, Promises made, promises kept. Donald Trump has saved Cracker Barrel! You’re welcome, America!"

Previously, after initial backlash, the chain apologized in a statement on Monday, but stopped short of changing back the official logo, but would keep "Uncle Herschel" on road signs as well as on branding in their locations.

“We love seeing how much you care about our ‘old timer.’ We love him too. Uncle Herschel will still be on our menu (welcome back Uncle Herschel’s Favorite Breakfast Platter), on our road signs and featured in our country store. He’s not going anywhere — he’s family," the company said in the apology, before reversing course of the official logo on Tuesday.

Aside from backlash against the logo change, the company was revealed to have a number of DEI initiatives, funded "all ages" pride events, and had a "diversity" supplier program after being the target of conservative activist Robby Starbuck, who has taken a similar tact against other corporations practicing left-wing policies.
