Mexico is reeling after a beloved television news anchor was killed in a horrifying plane crash on Saturday — a tragedy caught on video that has stunned viewers across the country.

Debora Estrella, 43, a household name in Mexican media, died alongside her instructor, Bryan Ballesteros, when the small two-person Cessna she was flying in for her very first flying lesson spiraled out of control and slammed into an industrial site in Garcia, Nuevo Leon.

Estrella had just posted bright, excited selfies to social media before takeoff, proudly documenting her first flying lesson.
