Tom Brady To Have Increased Role With Las Vegas Raiders
After firing Antonio Pierce and hiring Pete Carroll, the Las Vegas Raiders expected to improve upon the 4-13 record from last season. Yet, through 14 games, the Raiders have just two wins. What does Tom Brady think of all this?
The future Hall of Fame QB/Raiders minority owner has reportedly been “frustrated” with the team at times this season. Now, Brady is taking more control of a bad situation.
According to the NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport, Brady is expected to “increase his presence” within the Raiders’ organization as the franchise determines whether they want to keep Pete Carroll.
“Legendary quarterback Tom Brady and his business partner Egon Durban have wielded significant influence since becoming Raiders minority owners last year. Brady is close with former Michigan teammate and current GM John Spytek, with both serving as the sounding board for one another. While Spytek was Brady’s GM target last year, Brady’s prime target for head coach was Ben Johnson, who took the Bears job instead. Expect Brady — who has spent little time in the Raiders building as he balances his broadcasting duties on Fox and other business interests — to increase his presence as the decision closes in. Many of those in the building who know Carroll well understand change may be necessary.”

The Raiders do have some great pieces in place, such as Brock Bowers and Maxx Crosby. But until they find an above-average starting quarterback, this team will continue to struggle. They thought Geno Smith, a one-time Pro Bowler, could be part of the solution, but trading for him and paying the 35-year-old $75 million was yet another bad decision.
Will Brady advise that the Raiders give coach Carroll another season after a failed effort? Or will another hotshot candidate emerge after missing out on Ben Johnson?
After competing for yet another top-five pick this season, there’s really nowhere for Las Vegas to go but up in 2026. The question is, who will help them get there?
