Texas Woman Sues McDonald's, Claims Egg McMuffin Left Her 'Seriously and Permanently Injured' - Slay News

A Texas woman has filed a lawsuit against McDonald’s after alleging that a breakfast sandwich purchased from a New York City location left her seriously ill and caused long-term health complications.
According to court filings, Yvette Hinds claims a sausage McMuffin with egg she purchased from a McDonald’s in Times Square contained contaminants that made her violently sick and resulted in lasting injuries.
The lawsuit, filed in late May, stems from an incident that allegedly occurred in 2023.
Lawsuit Alleges Severe Illness

Hinds claims she became “violently ill and nauseated” after consuming the breakfast item and experienced severe pain and distress throughout her body.
The lawsuit further alleges that the food was “wholly unfit for human consumption.”
According to the filing, the plaintiff suffered injuries to her “physical, nervous and mental systems” and contends those injuries are permanent.

The complaint states that Hinds underwent multiple medical procedures and treatments following the incident and expects to incur additional healthcare costs in the future.
“Solely as a direct consequence of the consumption of the food aforesaid, plaintiff Yvette Hinds was caused to incur great expense for medical care and treatment, and will continue to incur great expense for medical care and treatment in the future,” the lawsuit states.
The filing seeks damages related to medical expenses, pain and suffering, and other alleged losses.

McDonald’s has faced several food-related lawsuits in recent years.

At the time, the pastor told reporters that his faith helped him through the ordeal.
“I do believe that my faith saved me,” he said.
“As the Bible says, if you believe in God, not even poison is going to kill you.”
