Elon Musk: Democrats Are the 'Party of Murder' - Slay News

The assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk has ignited a political firestorm, with Elon Musk leading Republicans in condemning the Left and warning that Democrats have become the “party of murder.”
Kirk, 31, was shot in the neck on Wednesday afternoon while speaking at a student event at Utah Valley University.
Authorities described the killing as a targeted political assassination.
Musk, who has increasingly positioned himself as a critic of the Democratic Party, directly blamed the Left for the killing.
“The Left is the party of murder,” Musk posted on X.

He added that far-left activists were “celebrating cold-blooded murder.”
Other Republicans echoed Musk’s outrage.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) called the assassination “the result of years of leftist indoctrination and hatred.”
Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) warned:
“The intolerant left has taken their hatred to a violent extreme.
“We must condemn this act and protect the right to free expression.”
President Donald Trump, who confirmed Kirk’s death hours after the attack, honored him as “the Great, and even Legendary, Charlie Kirk.”
Trump promised a sweeping crackdown on political violence.
“This is a dark moment for America,” Trump said.
He blamed the “radical Left” for demonizing dissent and described Kirk as a “martyr for truth and freedom.”
Vice President JD Vance, a longtime ally of Kirk, called the loss “unimaginable,” writing on X:
“For me, for his family, for everyone who loved him, and for America.”
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis denounced the murder as “an outrageous attack on free speech and democracy.”
Utah Governor Spencer Cox labeled it a “political assassination,” noting that Kirk devoted his career to empowering young conservatives.
While Democrat leaders offered condolences, many used the moment to revive calls for stricter gun laws.
Former President Barack Obama said the killing was “a heartbreaking reminder that we must all work to lower the temperature in our political discourse.”
Former Vice President Kamala Harris declared political violence had “no place in America.”
Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) linked Kirk’s murder to the broader “scourge of gun violence.”
Former President Joe Biden said, “There is no place in our country for this kind of violence.”
California Governor Gavin Newsom also weighed in, condemning the assassination and calling for a rejection of political violence “in EVERY form.”
But tensions spilled over in Congress.
During a moment of silence, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) turned on Democrats: “You caused this!”
Axios reported that Democrat Rep. Jahana Hayes (D-CT) shouted back: “Pass some gun laws!”
The FBI said one person of interest was briefly taken into custody but released after interrogation.
FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed the assassin is still at large.

Officials say the shooter, dressed in dark clothing and armed with a long gun, fired a single shot from a distance of roughly 200 feet.
Security at the event was minimal despite more than 3,000 attendees.
A graphic video showed Kirk collapsing in his chair as blood poured from his wound.
Audience members screamed and dove for cover.
Kirk, a Trump ally and one of the most prominent young conservative activists in America, is survived by his wife, Erika Frantzve, and their two young children.
