This Islamo-Marxist is hijacking the internet and young minds... - Revolver News

Chances are, if you go online, you’ll stumble across plenty of controversial stories and posts from one popular online figure who practices what some are calling “Islamo-Marxism.” It’s a blend of Islam and Marxism, and it’s sweeping across social media.

The concerning part is that most people don’t know much about this guy, even though he wields a great deal of influence and power over the youth in this country and beyond. Many don’t even realize he’s actually an American citizen. You’ll see countless replies to his controversial posts calling for him to be “deported.” But that isn’t going to happen.

This is the new, powerful arm of the Dem Party, and the guy who goes by “HasanAbi” online isn’t going anywhere.

You may know him as Hasan Piker. He’s a self-proclaimed Marxist who calls himself “culturally Islamic.” Mr. Piker is 34 years old, and he was born in New Jersey, but he grew up in Istanbul, Turkey. He’s a dual citizen of the US and Turkey. Piker graduated from Rutgers, where he started developing his love of Marxist ideology. He started gaining popularity when he joined the Young Turks, which was founded by his uncle Cenk Uygur.

By 2020, Pike was a full-time political commentator, and his anti-capitalist and pro-Marxist beliefs were front and center. Piker calls himself a “cultural Muslim.” This means he identifies with the heritage, history, and societal customs of Islam, without practicing the actual religion.

While Mr. Piker doesn’t spend nearly as much time trying to convert people to Islam as he does to Marxism, he certainly has his own ways of showing his affinity for Islamic culture.

For example, there’s the framed 9/11 front page hanging on his wall, which seems ghoulish at best.

Keep in mind, Mr. Piker isn’t just your run-of-the-mill radical Marxist. This man has a great deal of influence over young people in America, especially those who feel disillusioned with both the right and left.

His brand of “Islamo-Marxism” is clearly resonating with a lot of people. He has millions of followers, and his fans spend millions of hours watching his content. Millions more views come from archived clips, YouTube uploads, and social media commentary channels.

This guy has a massive following, and his influence shouldn’t be underestimated.

Hasan Piker has made plenty of controversial remarks over the years, but none sparked more outrage than what he said about 9/11:

During an August 2019 livestream discussing U.S. foreign policy and interventionism in the Middle East, Piker argued that U.S. foreign actions historically invited blowback, stating that “America deserved 9/11, dude”

So, how did we get here, where this self-loathing American communist and cultural Islamist has so much power with our youth?

Part of it is because a major generational shift is happening. Younger Americans on both the right and left are eager to question Israel, its government, wars, and the huge influence they have in US politics.

Many of those questions are fair and necessary.

When Americans ask why so much of their money, military support, and political loyalty goes to a foreign government, they deserve a serious answer. Calling them antisemites, censoring them, or bullying them into silence doesn’t help anything. It leaves them angry, suspicious, and searching for someone willing to speak openly.

That’s where people like Hasan Piker enter the chat.

Piker doesn’t offer a responsible conversation about Israeli policy, American interests, or the difference between criticizing a government and attacking a race of people. He offers rage, certainty, and an enemy to blame. For young people who feel ignored or lied to by both political parties, that message can be insanely powerful.

That’s what people like Mark Levin and the old “Israel First” crowd can’t grasp. Every time they label honest questions about the Israeli government as hatred of Jews, they hand radicals like Piker more influence. They push people out of a reasonable debate and directly into the arms of someone waiting to radicalize their anger.

Criticism of Israel can be totally legitimate. Hatred of Jewish people is something else entirely. We should be fully able to recognize both truths without being bullied into silence or manipulated into extremism.

Because when normal people refuse to have an honest debate, Marxist men like Hasan Piker will happily have it for them.
