Ilhan Omar is dumb, but shouldn't her staff be smarter? - Revolver News

Nobody is going to argue that Ilhan Omar is a great thinker or speaker. She’s not. And we get it, she’s from another country, and English is her second language, but that’s not an excuse for a sitting member of Congress to sound like an ignorant dolt, especially when she has a taxpayer-funded staff that’s supposed to be helping her.
Ilhan’s latest mishap came on Independence Day, when she not once, but twice, was unable to properly pronounce the word patriotism. She says it, “paytreeism.” You might think we’re being petty and nitpicking her accent. But it goes way beyond that. This is part of a pattern with this woman and her staff, who seem to have zero expectations of greatness.
This is an Independence Day message on one of the most important days of the calendar year, and you and your team can’t even get together and make sure that a word so near and dear to the American people is pronounced correctly?
Proud to be an American.
True patriotism is defending the Constitution, protecting our democracy, and striving for liberty and justice for all.
Our country has never been perfect, but its promise is worth protecting.
Happy 4th of July. ❤️🤍💙🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/7Y1MXFPBjW

People noticed because that word matters. It’s at the very core of who we are as Americans. And chances are, Ilhan had never used it once in her life before now.
She literally can’t even pronounce the word “patriotism”, amazing https://t.co/I9O1lNs1By

This was a great response to her botching the word:
“You can’t criticize her unless you fought in World War Eleven.”

And speaking of that… who can forget the viral video of her that made the rounds recently, when she was reading from a piece of paper about World War II and called it “World War Eleven”?
There are a lot of big problems with that.
Not only does she lack a very basic grasp of world history, enough to know there haven’t been 11 freaking world wars, which is shocking on its own, but she also either can’t read Roman numerals or doesn’t understand the concept, which is another red flag, especially for a sitting member of Congress.

You watch something like this, and you can’t help but wonder, does this woman not practice her speeches with her staff before standing in front of a camera? Certainly, she should, especially if she’s the type of person who thinks we’ve had eleven world wars.
Being “book dumb” is one thing…
But being so socially tone-deaf and ignorant that you say things any normal person would immediately recognize as inappropriate is another. Yet somehow, Ilhan has managed to combine both, which makes you wonder even more… where on earth is her team, and why does nobody seem capable of stopping her from repeatedly embarrassing herself and Congress in public?
And in case you’re wondering, here are two of her aides, who are now married.

This brings us to the time she referred to the 911 massacre by a group of Muslim men as “some people doing something.”
One of the most notable controversies Omar caused came while she was speaking at a Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) fundraiser in 2019 where she spoke about the September 11th Attacks and CAIR’s founding.
“Here’s the truth: Far too long we have lived with the discomfort of being a second-class citizen and, frankly, I’m tired of it, and every single Muslim in this country should be tired of it,” Omar said.
“CAIR was founded after 9/11 because they recognized that some people did something, and that all of us were starting to lose access to our civil liberties,” Omar continued, referencing the attacks where Islamic terrorists hijacked four planes that were used in the worst terrorist attack on U.S. soil.
The world was shocked by her horrific words, and again, you can’t help but wonder: where’s her staff? Are they as ignorant as she is, or is she such a bumbling tyrant that no one can correct her?
Where was her team when she claimed, with zero evidence – because there is none – that Somalis are the “fabric” of the United States?
Jihadi Omar has lost her mind: “Somalis have always been seen as a fabric of this nation.” They have not and never will be seen as a fabric of this nation.pic.twitter.com/qbhINiqDAH

Meanwhile, one study shows that the average Somali IQ is 68.
According to one (controversial) study, Somalis reportedly have one of the lowest average IQ scores in the world, yet even so, the Somali community was still able to steal billions under Governor Tim Walz’s watch. This is the same Tim Walz whom President Trump recently called “seriously retarded.”
Looks like Trump was right. Again…
If the average Somali IQ is only 68, but they fraudulently scammed Tim Walz for hundreds of millions of dollars anyway…Trump is right about Tim Walz.

So, what exactly have Somalis contributed to the United States to make them a “fabric” of our nation? Well, if you ask Google, this is the underwhelming response:

Are they referring to daycare centers, better known as “Learing Centers,” which are now under a huge investigation for massive fraud?
“We basically work from January-May for free so the greedy [government] can waste our money on shrimp running on treadmills and ‘learing centers’ in Minneapolis so some Somali can ship the money back to Mogadishu.” @CarlHigbie expresses his frustration with government taxes. pic.twitter.com/dvwx75fYmN

Also, it’s wonderful to open a barber shop, but we’re not sure that gives you “fabric” status in the US.
The point here isn’t to mock Ilhan Omar for not being very bright, it’s to question why she and her staff can’t do better as a team.
Why don’t they raise the bar and actually strive to serve the American people with some basic professionalism? At some point, you have to wonder whether this is part of the same DEI mentality that’s lowered standards so dramatically that a sitting member of Congress can’t read Roman numerals, mispronounces important words on a day that means so much to the country, and still has a staff that films, edits, and publishes the clip without thinking any of it needs to be corrected.
Is this really the new normal here?

And the moment anybody points it out, somehow they’re the bad guy. That’s the very basic problem with DEI culture. People are expected to accept a dumbed-down version of everything around them because demanding competence, professionalism, and higher standards is treated like cruelty, offensive, or “racist.” But expecting more from the people who serve the American public isn’t mean. It’s the absolute bare minimum.
