At this point, you have to wonder, why do western countries even bother having actual immigration laws, when crazy judges will come along and override them all anyway?

That’s the question a lot of Brits are wondering today, after another over-emotional female judge issued a ruling that flabbergasted many in the UK.

Here’s what happened:

The Home Secretary refused to allow 18 members of one Gaza family to enter the UK. That should’ve been the end of the discussion. But of course, it wasn’t. The family (likely with help from some leftwing activist group) challenged the decision through the courts, and a female judge decided their “personal hardship” outweighed the British government’s need to control its own border.

Now, all 18 have won the right to come to the UK, even though an elected official said “absolutely not.”

As we in the US know, this is part of a frightening pattern unfolding all over the Western world. Voters elect governments to make policy, then activist judges are stepping in to suspend, rewrite, or completely overturn those decisions. Immigration, elections, deportations, public spending, and national security are now shaped by people in black robes who were never elected to run the country, and have no business larping as politicians.

Yes, courts have had important roles in keeping governments working within the law… we get it. But that role becomes something very different when activist judges begin using leftwing language to make policy based on what they personally consider fair, compassionate, or emotionally okay.

And we can’t ignore the fact that many of these highly charged rulings are coming from over-emotional female judges, who’s feelings and politics overpower common sense, national interest, and the authority of elected officials.

Compassion isn’t some blank check to override border laws whenever a case feels super heartbreaking.

But, as you’ll see, that seems to be exactly what happened in the UK.

A family of 18 from Gaza has won the right to come to Britain after launching a human rights challenge in the British courts.

The landmark case was brought after a Gazan-born mother-of-three – who came to the UK as a refugee and is now a British citizen – was refused permission to bring her extended family into this country.

Her relatives – both parents; a brother, his wife and four children; a sister and four children; and another sister, her husband and three children – won a legal challenge on human rights grounds.

Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood then attempted to have that decision overturned – but this week lost the case.

The case exposes yet again how human rights laws undermine Britain’s border controls by overturning decisions made by the Home Secretary.

The Conservatives said the ‘shameful’ ruling risked ‘opening the floodgates to thousands of Palestinians claiming asylum here due to Labour’s pitiful adherence to flawed human rights laws’.

The elected government made a decision. The Home Secretary defended it. Then a lady judge decided that her feelings about the family’s struggles overrode all of that.

The judge is also fully onboard with the fact that 17 of the 18 people can’t speak a lick of English, a few are mentally ill, and they’ll need welfare.

Daily Mail:

The ruling showed most of the adult applicants could not speak English and that the UK-based sister would only be able to accommodate her parents.

The lower tribunal judge ‘concluded that the applicants would require access to public funds’, the ruling added.

The UK-based daughter and her three children had suffered ‘mental health problems’ caused by their relatives’ ‘situation in Gaza’, the judge said.

They’re inability to speak English, their need for housing, and their welfare checks will now be the problem of a country whose government had already decided not to let them in.

And that’s why so many Brits are infuriated. Their taxes, public services, housing supply, and national border are in peril, because some female judge can’t say “no” to a sob story.

Judge Loughran said: ‘The judge concluded that the applicants’ refusal of entry clearance would give rise to consequences of such gravity for the sponsor and her children as to be unjustifiably harsh such that the public interest was outweighed.

‘Accordingly, the judge found that the decisions made in respect of the applicants were disproportionate and unlawful under section 6 of the Human Rights Act 1998 and allowed their appeals.’

She added: ‘I do not find the [Home Secretary’s] grounds to be made out and I conclude that the judge’s decision should stand. I accordingly uphold the judge’s decision.’

The concern about crazy female judges and hysterical emotions will grow after a horrific ruling like this.

A country can’t have strong borders when every refusal is being overturned by judges with hurt feelings.

At this point, thanks to activist judges, like this woman, western borders are becoming nothing more than a “suggestion,” and countries just can’t survive that way.
