Bearing Arms — Swearer: This Is Why Hawaii Should Rethink Its View of Second Amendment

"If it saves one life..." is a common enough justification for gun control, but I reject it. Not because I object to saving lives, but because there's a balance to be considered. Is saving one innocent life worthwhile if it costs 10 others their lives? Objectively, no. Sure, if it's your loved one, the math works out differently, but that's neither here nor there.

Of course, all this reporting could be head fakes—disinformation meant to muddy the waters and leave Iranian leaders in the dark. The Trump administration has used misinformation to its advantage more than once.

Today on Capitol Hill...

The House is out now through August. They did, of course, do some heavy lifting before they escaped the Swamp. It's the Senate that's going to have everyone pulling their hair out.

They have not yet fully left the (Capitol) building. There are hearings set for Wednesday and Thursday, including the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs hearing "to examine the testimony of Dr. Anthony Fauci." Grab the popcorn for that one! 🍿

    MORNING MUSING

It was gross enough seeing Tony Fauci equate himself with "the science." Little did we know, while the world was facing the horrors of the COVID pandemic, Tony was busy preening in his diary.

As a general rule, I try to steer clear of name-calling, but reading through some of his newly released journal entries, all I can think is: How on earth did we get to a place where this toxically narcissistic lawn gnome was calling the shots?

I hope Wednesday is extraordinarily, unrelentingly humiliating for Fauci.
