‘Politically Toxic’: Dems Already in Panic Mode As GOP Plans to Make Mamdani Face of Their Party Revealed

While the party in power historically loses seats in the first midterm elections, Mamdani's rise as the true face of the Democrat party may alter the calculus.

Sydney Sweeney Breaks Silence on Freak-Out Over Jeans Ad: ‘It Was All Made Up’

When pressed if she wanted to say something more about the ad and criticism that it wasn't right for "white people to joke about genetic superiority," (honestly, what?), Sweeney replied, "I think that when I have an issue that I want to speak about, people will hear."

Ron DeSantis Has Hilarious Response to What He Would Do With NYC Refugees After Election

I have no problem saying this: If you are someone who is fed up with the living/working situation in a blue part of the country, please don't move to red cities and states if all you're going to do is ruin them for the people who already live there by advocating for the same types of things that led your city or state to become a place you no longer want to live.

Democrats: I Hope You Are Proud That You Elected Jay Jones

What I didn't expect was that the majority of Virginians would actually say that they found his murderous musings to be no big deal at all.

Touché, Lefties

Please, victorious Democrats, by all means, do that voodoo that you do so well. Enjoy your commie Christmas, NYC. Have fun with hard-left social policies sickening and saddening your children, Virginia, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. Show the nation how well your radical ideas play out.

One Thing to Keep in Mind About Last Night's Blowout GOP Losses

We must think about the post-Trump moment because right now, JD Vance, should he become the heir apparent in 2028, will have a tough time keeping the Trump base together.

Delete Your Account: Morgan Freeman (Not That One) Posts Vile Reaction to Louisville Plane Crash

As Virginia sadly showed America last night, leftists do not care about human decency. They do not care about their fellow Americans. And they certainly do not care about grieving family members who might see or hear the repugnant things they say.

WHAT'S ON TAP?

Today on Capitol Hill...

Vote #14 went the way of its predecessors on the clean continuing resolution (CR) to fund/reopen the government on Tuesday.

But what's this we hear? Could Election Day's passing mean the Schumer Shutdown's end is near? (Sorry — channeling my inner Dr. Seuss there...)

    White House What's Up

After a semi-quiet Tuesday — though he did nominate (renominate?) Jared Isaacman to be the Administrator of NASA — President Donald Trump has a busy Wednesday, starting off with a breakfast with Republican senators in the State Dining Room, where he'll deliver remarks. Then he heads to Miami, Florida, to deliver remarks at the America Business Forum Miami, before returning to D.C. late in the afternoon.

    Full Court Press...

Today's the big day at SCOTUS: Oral argument in the tariff cases. The consolidated cases are Learning Resources, Inc. v. Trump and Trump v. V.O.S. Selections, and the question(s) presented is: Whether the International Emergency Economic Powers Act authorizes the president to impose tariffs, and if the IEEPA authorizes the tariffs, whether the statute unconstitutionally delegates legislative authority to the president.

The lower courts turned in a couple of decisions of note on Tuesday:

  • ❌ State of California v. DOT (challenging withholding of DOT funding for non-cooperation with immigration enforcement) — Judge John McConnell Jr. (Rhode Island) GRANTS summary judgment to plaintiff states, DENIES it to the Trump administration.
  • ❌ National Association for the Deaf v. Trump (cancellation of ASL interpreters) — Judge Amir Ali (D.C.) GRANTS (in part) plaintiffs' motion for preliminary injunction. [I predict the admin. won't appeal this one.]
  • Also of note on Tuesday, Republican Rep. Brandon Gill (TX-26) filed articles of impeachment against Judge James Boasberg for his signing off on "frivolous nondisclosure orders to conceal the fact that sitting US Senators were being surveilled" in conjunction with the Artic Frost investigation.

    MORNING MUSING

Okay, so last night stunk. I was holding out hope for at least one bright spot — a New Jersey gubernatorial pickup, a Virginia split ticket, maybe even a stunning Mamdani swan dive. Nope. 'Twasn't to be.

But, in case anyone's interested in my two cents, I have some advice for Republicans: Learn from the Democrats — don't be like them, but learn from them. We've been clucking at them for a year now for failing to reflect on why they lost big in 2024. Republicans would be wise not to do the same. This handful of off-year races may not truly tell us a ton, but there are lessons to be learned from them still. Do it.

Be wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.

And lest you find yourself overly discouraged by Tuesday night's outcomes, remember that today is the one-year anniversary of a major win, not just for Republicans, but for the country as a whole. Focus on what's right and focus on what works.
