Watch: Ed. Sec. Linda McMahon Shows How It's Done After Speech Gets Interrupted by 'Clowns'

Among the many impressive cabinet picks made by President Donald Trump in his second term are Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy, all of whom have done standout work since being sworn in, working to undo the damage done to those institutions under the Biden-Harris administration.

Another notable figure has been Education Secretary Linda McMahon, whose job is unusual in comparison to other cabinet members and is radically different from past education secretaries: to effectively dismantle the department she was chosen to lead.

And lead it she has, bringing the fire to higher education institutions, as well as woke blue states like California over the issue of Title IX violations and non-compliance with Trump's executive order on men in women's sports, for example. Not only that, but she's not been above showing up to Democrat-organized press conferences on Capitol Hill to have an "open discussion about ... the education of our young people."

McMahon was at an event on Wednesday hosted by the Young America's Foundation and was having a back-and-forth with YAF's president, former Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R), when, at various points, her speech was interrupted by clown/circus music and a clip of someone saying "corrupt billionaire":

When McMahon's talk on Wednesday was first interrupted by a clip of someone referring to her as a "corrupt billionaire," she turned her head to the side in surprise.

"Oh," she said.

Former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, the president of YAF and the moderator of the discussion, then cut in and suggested the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) had hacked the conference's audio feed.

[...]

"We're getting a little feedback in here," McMahon said while laughing.

"Apparently it was a few of the liberal senators, in connection with the CCP that I think tried and cut into that," Walker added.

Reached for comment, Walker told Newsweek in a statement: "Radicals tried to stop Secretary McMahon from being heard, just like they do to conservative voices on college campuses."

Rehder Lee Myhr, who is the Outreach Director for the University of Alabama YAF, took to the X machine and shared what happened, complete with video clips showing McMahon not allowing the interruptions to rattle her as she continued with her remarks:

During Linda McMahon’s talk, some group or individual secretly planted portable speakers around the ballroom, triggering random audio clips mid-speech. It was clown music, sound effects, unrelated music, and awkward voices calling her a “corrupt billionaire.”

Speakers shrugged it off and the interns tracked them down quickly, and it was turned into a criticism of the Left on stage by Governor Walker and Secretary McMahon.

If this is the best the Left can do, anonymous soundboards at a conference, clearly Conservatives are winning and building real momentum in this country.

Unfortunately, "it is not known who is responsible for the speakers," and "security was not aware of any unapproved individuals entering the conference space," according to a report from Daily Caller. But hats off to Walker and McMahon for making sure the show went on anyway and for refusing to allow the interruptions to deter them from the messages they were there to deliver.
