Kamala's New Comment About Trump, 'Accountability' Has Eyebrows Going Up - Then She Serves Up Word Salad

It's hard to believe, but some polling has Kamala Harris as the leading Democratic candidate for 2028.

It's very early, it's not even clear that she would run, and other candidates are likely to overtake her in a real primary. But if the Democrats were foolish enough to put her forward, given the sound drubbing that she got in 2024, feel free. I'm sure Republicans would love that.

Harris is clearly reaching low, if she's bothering to go on Don Lemon's podcast to try to promote herself.

Then, too, what she said was some stunning hypocrisy. Lemon asked her if people in the Trump Justice Department (DOJ) going after "political rivals" should "face some sort of justice."

"Oh, well, I absolutely believe that," Harris said. "And I believe there should be accountability." She said those who abused their power and authority should be held accountable. "And there should be consequence," she affirmed.

Lemon asked her if she ran and won in 2028, would she make sure there was accountability.

"Oh, I believe firmly in accountability, yes," she smiled.

Wait, I'm confused. That sounds an awful lot like hypocrisy there.

So Dems going after "political rivals" is "D" different and good.

But the Republicans trying to hold Democrats accountable is bad. That's a head-spinner. She's going on about the Trump administration while ignoring the prosecutions against Trump.

Add that to the Democrats in Congress, like House Majority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, promising retribution against members of the Trump administration for things like "state violence against the American people" [talking about Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE)].

If Dems got back into power, the remaining two years would be all about their efforts to get Trump and people in the administration. Forget anything positive being done.

Kamala wasn't quite done yet with being Kamala. She threw in one heck of a word salad in the process. But she obviously thinks she has a chance in 2028.

“I really, truly believe this. We, we each have, have light inside of us. And we need to know that, that is what inspires our hope as much as anything external to ourselves. And when we feel that and, and, and not allow an election or an individual to dampen that light, and instead light, let that light kind of carry us in particular through moments of darkness, that, that we not only act on that hope, but we inspire that hope in each other. And in particular, at this moment, it is so important that we not only have hope, but that we understand that, that should be a verb."

What the heck? She can't even just lie to us and say "hope and change," she has to cloak it in more than 100 words that say nothing.

But both clips are a perfect reminder of how important it was that President Donald Trump won.
