World Cup Freddy the German tourist and his buddies had such a great time in Texas, they held up a Texas flag in "thank you" as they left the state.

They certainly hit some highlights while there, including another World Cup game and a visit to the Johnson Space Center, where they got to sit in an Orion capsule and call the International Space Station. Freddy even stepped into the "Burger Wars," declaring In-N-Out burgers to be the "best" he'd had so far on his trip.

World Cup Freddy's Road Trip Blasts Off When America Provides Him With an Out-of-This-World Experience

One piece of Americana which Freddy had been enjoying along his road trip through the South was the music of country singer Ella Langley. He posted about how much he liked it. Then, because this is a road trip for the ages, Langley contacted Freddy and invited him and his crew to her concert in Oklahoma City. That's why he was on his way there from Texas.

He hit what people identified as the Arbuckle Mountains, among the oldest in the country.

Then, he made it to the hotel in Oklahoma City, and the gifts waiting for them were really something. They even included suitcases because Freddy had been saying they needed to buy a suitcase to carry back all the gifts, since they only had hand luggage.

Only in America do you go from admiring a singer in your car to her inviting you to her concert. And I don't think all the stuff can fit in the bags. I'm not sure how he's going to get it all back home.

Freddy was loving the American experience. Those are some nice-looking boots.

Then, it was on to the concert.

Finally, the meeting with Ella Langley, to which Freddy had been looking forward, wearing their "Ella's Fellas" shirts.

He may never go back after that. It's going to be hard to top that.

Freddy and the crew have to go to Toronto for another game, but then they are coming back to the U.S., and they may have another exciting highlight yet to come.

So we'll have to see if that comes off in one of the best road trips ever.
