World Cup Freddy Hits More Iconic American Spots - and Steps Into 'Burger Wars'

We've been bringing you the fun and joy from the amazing road trip of Freddy and his buddies, the German tourists here for the World Cup,
When last we left you, they'd even made it to the Johnson Space Center. They had a tour courtesy of astronaut Col. Anne McClain. Freddy got to sit in the Orion trainer capsule commander seat. They even had a call with astronaut Jessica Meir, who is on the International Space Station.

Meir showed them what Earth looked like from space. She also busted on former NFL player JJ Watt, who helped hook Freddy and his buddies up with a nice hotel in Houston, asking if this was better.

Watt humorously responded.

Then Freddy hit a real Texas institution: Whataburger.
First meal of the day at 6 PM. Also the weather is still pretty bad here, so we haven’t really been able to make the most of our time in Galveston. Really wanted to swim in the ocean here. Hopefully it gets better soon. pic.twitter.com/wiCyiTwq1R

The Patty Melt is probably the best thing, although the milkshakes are great, too. Looks like one of the crew got a Patty Melt in the left corner of the picture.
Then on Wednesday, they got to the Portugal vs. DR Congo (Democratic Republic of the Congo) game, with Cristiano Ronaldo. Freddy's a fan, that's Ronaldo's face he uses as his avatar, and he even got a video of him.
It‘s insane in here. The stadium. Cristiano Ronaldo on the pitch. The aura is crazy. pic.twitter.com/hQYZB7S0It

Ronaldo and Portugal didn't have a great game, but Congo did remarkably well, tying them at 1-1. So that was pretty inspiring for them, playing in the Cup for the first time since 1974 against one of the favorites.
Freddy also got a chance to meet another hero of his: Erik Sviatchenko, a Danish-Ukrainian player for the Houston Dynamo.
The world is small. Some of you may have seen in my bio that the club I support back home is @fcmidtjylland. That’s because my family is originally from Denmark, and it’s our local club.
One of the club’s biggest legends just happens to play for Houston Dynamo, so we got to meet… pic.twitter.com/kEukh9l2xh

Then he was off to Oklahoma City for the Ella Langley concert, and after that, another game in Toronto.
Goodbye Houston💔 Four unforgettable days in the city come to an end. The road trip continues.
Now we’re heading to Oklahoma City, and Toronto afterwards. pic.twitter.com/NyTKLbeoPj

But he stepped into a bit of the "Burger Wars" fight when he posted that he thought In-N-Out was the best burger they had on their trip so far.

First stop on the road to Oklahoma City. Best burgers of the trip so far.

Freddy might have lost Texas with that one. But he made up for it a bit by the crew holding up a Texas flag outside a Texas Roadhouse.
Last evening in Texas and dinner at Texas Road House.😋
I think that‘s the perfect way to end our trip here. pic.twitter.com/ihThe4h5c9
