More Bad Polling News for Dems As It Shows Their Views on Patriotism 'Changed' Drastically

CNN had an interesting poll about how patriotic the two main political parties were.
What they found was very instructive about how much the Democrats have changed in their view of America over the past 25 years.

CNN senior data analyst Harry Enten described the parties' view of July 4th as "one of the most stunning divides that we have seen."
🚨CNN STUNNED as bombshell poll reveals that Democrats HATE America!
- Only 27% of Democrats will fly the American flag on July 4th, compared to 64% of Republicans
- Only 29% of Democrats are extremely proud to be an American, compared to 90% of Republicans

In terms of what July 4th means to you, 65 percent of Republicans and 24 percent of Democrats said it meant "celebrate America." Forty-two percent of Democrats thought it was more about "time with family and friends," whereas only 23 percent of Republicans thought that was what it was about. So the plurality of Democrats "disagreed" that it was about celebrating America.
What about the American flag? Would they display it on July 4th?
In July 2001, the numbers were close to equal. Republicans were at 68 percent, Democrats at 65. Now, Republicans weren't much different at 64 percent. But the drop in the Democratic number is pretty stunning, at 27 percent. "Absolutely plummeting," Enten termed it.
How about if you are "extremely/very proud to be an American"?

Again in Jan. 2001, it was pretty close, 90 percent of the GOP and 85 percent of the Democrats were. But in 2026, while the Republicans hadn't changed, only 29 percent of the Democrats were.
"Something has absolutely changed," Enten concluded.
You can say that again. We've seen the Democrats go further and further left since Barack Obama, with years of the Left attacking America. So even though the numbers are shocking and disturbing, they probably aren't surprising to anyone watching that progression over the years.
There have been radical leftists who have been negative on America for decades. One of the things that has happened over the past 25 years is that the mainstream Democrats have embraced those thoughts now, too, such as defunding the police and/or demonizing ICE. Two insane positions standing law and order on its head.
Funny, though, most Americans still don't want radical leftism. So the more the Democrats embrace such things, the more they reveal themselves to the independents at the center who reject that.
Then, too, the Democrats have become all about hating President Donald Trump, so all they do is attack America when he is in charge.
These may be some of the reasons that Democrats have a problem when it comes to the generic ballot numbers. Historically, the party out of power tends to have the advantage during the midterms. But the numbers have been closing. We noted on Monday that Enten had a polling average of Democrats up by about 3 points. But with the redistricting wins by Republicans, Enten explained Democrats would need 3-4 points up. So that could make it basically even.

This may get even better for the Republicans if the gas prices continue to drop, and other positive effects on the economy kick in, with the Iran deal.
Democrats' chickens may be coming home to roost.
