Let the Scrambling Begin: John Brennan's Response to Gabbard Allegations on Russia Hoax Is Something Else

redstate.com

The revelations from Director of National Intelligence (DNI), Tulsi Gabbard, about the Russia Collusion hoax have the Obama team in damage control mode.

I wrote about the reaction of former Obama DNI James Clapper. He acknowledged to CNN that he'd been "lawyered up" for awhile and that he found it very "disconcerting," although he called the allegations "ridiculous."

Of course, it's also probably not wise to be talking on CNN either.

But the Obama team is in full gear, trying to do all they can to spin.

Clapper wasn't the only one looking nervous. Check the body language of former Obama CIA head John Brennan in the following clip. He appeared on Jen Psaki's MSNBC show, where he attacked Gabbard.

On Wednesday John Brennan went on with Jen Psaki to lash out at Tulsi Gabbard, accusing her of lying.

"Tulsi Gabbard, you know, she may be impaired on the ethics front certainly, but she's not impaired on the intellect front. And so I can only presume that she is doing this intentionally -- intentionally mischaracterizing, misrepresenting, and lying about what she has found.

Imagine this guy of all people daring to talk about anyone else's ethics. And he looked like he was squirming. What is she lying about, John? Please explain specifically.

As our sister site Twitchy reported, journalist Matt Taibbi called out the absurdity of this:

Perfect snapshot of modern “news”: a former White House flack masquerading as an anchor, interviewing an ex-CIA chief-turned-paid-MSNBC analyst, masquerading as a guest — with no journalists in the picture.

Brennan wasn't quite done scrambling yet. He, like Clapper, apparently missed the memo that talking to the media might not be a good idea. But again, he kept trying to attack the messenger (Gabbard), rather than the bombshells she dropped.

In a classic example of irony, he accused her of "projecting," adding that, "Obviously, she's engaged in the politicization of intelligence."

John Brennan was platformed again this morning by his favorite 'news' network to attack Tulsi Gabbard:

"I think she's projecting. Obviously, she's engaged in the politicization of intelligence."

"She’s not interested in the truth."

Wait, who is it who's projecting here? He wishes she would look at the evidence. She did. That's the problem for the Obama team. And I'll have to admit, it's a bit gratifying to see this execrable character looking worried, and running to these various shows. The MSNBC hacks, of course, didn't push back on him.

However, Brennan can't spin it away, and people on X were not buying it.

“I wish she would look at the assessment."

Umm….John.

On a gaslighting scale of 1-10, this is an 11.
