D.C. Pipe Bomb Suspect Reportedly Admits: I Did It

redstate.com

The suspect who allegedly left pipe bombs outside the DNC and the RNC in January 2021 and who was arrested Thursday reportedly admitted during a nearly four-hour interview with the DOJ that he did in fact commit the crime, according to the New York Post. The explosives were discovered on January 5, the night before the events of Jan. 6 at the U.S. Capitol.

The suspect, 30-year-old Brian Cole Jr., made his first court appearance Friday:

Cole made his initial appearance Friday in federal court in Washington, where he did not enter a plea and was ordered held until a detention hearing scheduled for Dec. 15.

He is charged with transporting explosives across state lines with intent to kill, injure, or cause damage, and with attempted malicious destruction of property using explosive materials.

Brian Cole LIVES with his MOTHER, loves “CHIHUAHUAS”, wears “SHORTS”… and has been described as “ALMOST AUTISTIC-LIKE”

SO Why didn’t BIDEN’S FBI REALLY catch THIS GUY? 🤔

As is the case with so many domestic terrorism perpetrators and suspects these days, his actual politics and motive remain ambiguous:

According to the Post, Cole told investigators he had embraced claims that Trump — not Democrat Joe Biden — won the 2020 presidential election.

Despite that admission, authorities say the motive for the alleged plot remains murky, with Cole offering conflicting statements in the interview.

Investigators also uncovered social media posts suggesting that Cole harbored anarchist views. But they found no evidence he coordinated with any militant groups or with Trump supporters involved in the Jan. 6 Capitol breach, MS Now reported Friday.

A national Republican operative told the Post there was no indication that Cole was a Trump voter.

As we reported, U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Judge Jeanine Pirro appeared on Laura Ingraham’s Fox News show Thursday night to discuss the arrest, the sprawling investigation that led to it, the Biden administration’s abject failure in solving the crime, and how Cole was apparently “quiet” and someone “you would never imagine could put [together] a pipe bomb.”

In one of the stranger episodes so far regarding the arrest, CNN’s Jake Tapper referred to Cole as a “white man,” although photos would certainly seem to indicate otherwise. My favorite Trump impersonator, Shawn Farash, skewed the leftist network:

Pirro, meanwhile, spoke with ABC News on Friday and revealed more about Cole and what might have driven him to such lengths:

"He was disappointed in various aspects of the [2020] election," Pirro said.

She said "it really isn't clear" if Cole is a supporter of either President Donald Trump or former President Joe Biden.

"This guy was an equal opportunity bomber," Pirro said. "He put a bomb outside the Republican National Committee and the Democrat National Committee. He was disappointed to a great deal in the system, both sides of the system, and for me as a prosecutor, my job is to prove what his intent was in placing those pipe bombs, and what he intended to do, and what we can prove, and we can prove that."

Although the bombs did not go off, they were functional explosives, and certainly could have seriously harmed or killed someone. The fact that they didn’t doesn’t absolve him in the slightest.
