We Can't Let Democrats Win in 2026

If you want to know why we can’t let Democrats win the House back in 2026, just listen to House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries. Instead of putting forward constructive solutions on issues that matter to Americans, like the border, the economy, or crime, he’s already salivating at the idea of dragging the administration through endless show investigations.

His plan, if Democrats manage to claw back power, is simple: paralyze the government, tie up key officials in subpoenas, and drown the White House in investigations designed not to uncover truth, but to prevent Republican policies from working. This is the only playbook Democrats ever seem to know when they’re out of ideas, which is most of the time.

Jeffries has already named one of his top targets: Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem.

“It’s my expectation that Kristi Noem will be one of the first people hauled up to Congress shortly after the gavels change hands to get a real understanding for the American people as to this conduct that has taken place,” Jeffries said during an appearance on “The Bulwark Podcast” with host Tim Miller. “The lack of respect for due process, for the rule of law, the unleashing of masked agents on law-abiding immigrant communities, and the disappearing of people, in some instances, to other countries without any real evidence that criminal behavior took place.”

Should Democrats retake the House, Noem will likely be one of the first officials they haul before hostile committees, facing accusations of misconduct for doing her job, which is enforcing the law and securing the border. The charges? Jeffries says Noem and ICE are trampling civil liberties by deporting illegal immigrants, accusing agents of going into communities “masked,” and suggesting that deportations are taking place without evidence of criminal activity.

In other words, the real problem in his eyes is that this administration is enforcing the law.

Despite relentless critiques from Democrats branding his immigration policies as racist and cruel, last month, a Wall Street Journal poll found that a whopping 62% of Americans support Trump's immigration policies.

The broader truth is undeniable: illegal immigration has dropped sharply under Trump, and voters wanted that when they voted in 2024. They wanted the flow of illegal immigration stopped, and they delivered Trump another term to do exactly that. Democrats refuse to acknowledge this success. They’re still trapped in a permanent cycle of attacking Trump instead of presenting any real solutions. For Americans, immigration isn’t about rhetoric; it’s about security, sovereignty, and fairness.

Democrats want to open the floodgates again.

That’s why we can’t let Democrats retake the House in 2026. If they do, they’ll launch a scorched-earth campaign against Trump’s immigration policies, using endless investigations and partisan theater to undermine border security and sabotage the very policies keeping the country safe. This isn’t leadership or “oversight” as Jeffries calls it; it’s deliberate obstruction. Americans see the difference, and they won’t forgive a return to chaos at the border.
