NYPD cop's relative, 24, fatally shot in the eye in the Bronx

A police officer’s family member was fatally shot in the eye in the Bronx early Saturday morning, an NYPD spokesman said.

The 24-year-old man was found at Frederick Douglas Boulevard and Macombs Place with a gunshot wound to the right eye around 1:30 a.m., cops said.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

His identity wasn’t immediately released.

The nature of the relationship between the male police officer and the victim wasn’t clear, police said.
